I really thought this was going to be like the Quick Draw subgame in Kirby Super Start Ultra, but it felt more like a Wario Ware Micro Game. Easy to pick up and fun to play through. I feel like this would be nice on mobile too. Visuals were top notch too, so great job!
Thanks!
We were actually discussing how the game would work on mobile yesterday!
I really loved this game! It's like a quick draw game I used to play using a light gun!
I loved the story progression, the way the "weight" of the gun feels and also the quick reflex that you need.
The SFX are pretty nice as well. Overall enjoyable game!
Thanks from both Vector and I, really glad you liked it.
Awesome game, really! You did a fantastic job and I don't have any complaints or bad comments to add.
The art, the execution, the idea and even the audio was so well done and compliment one another. While playing your game I got a flashback to good ol' flash games with similar vibe. Maybe SFX also played a role in that.
Thanks in name of the team!
We´re rating the jam games rn, can´t wait to play yours!
This was really fun, that sandstorm effect was really cool, how did y'all make it?
It became a little frustrating to need to wait 3 seconds before drawing my gun everytime, but it makes sense because I guess they used to do those kinds of things in the west before a showdown.
I also really enjoyed the effect when the cacti fell apart, overall amazing work!!!
You have my full ratings :D
We made the sandstorm with a shader that is getting fed a noise texture. It deforms that texture over time really fast, and with a yellow tint, it looks like a sandstorm! We're planning on making this game open source soon too, so I guess you can see that better there.
Also, sorry that it might be a bit slow to start. I was thinking maybe in a future post-jam update we could make configurable how fast the countdown is, because after you get used to it it kinda feels slow.
Thanks for your review! Vector and I will start voting soon together. Exited to try your game!
my friend had a little bad trip and put an accent instead of a ' in the last cinematic, really sorry about that hope your dog doesn't die to that cuz i almost did
I might never recover from this
We had much fun making this!
Enjoy!
