I liked this game! It's a simple concept, executed well. And I LOVED the art. Looks really good. Keep making games!
This definitely gets very hectic very fast, but it's quite pretty.
Love the concept, I was excited to play! The only thing is I can't understand where the second train is supposed to bring its payload... I lose everytime because it won't drop it at the same station as the first train. Did I miss something?
Expanding the map as we go is a great way not to overwhelm the player to much at the beginning but add more and more tension afterwards. I only thing you'd need a way to indicate more clearly the destination of each train.
I see a great potential for a small yet challenging game, well done!
EDIT: I only noticed the tutorial slide on the itch page. I'm gonna give it another go!
The theme is well chosen and the train mechanic works, but some interactions remain unclear and would benefit from more clarity, especially with the circles on the wagons and the highlighting of ready goods. The idea is fun and could become even more stressful and engaging with more T-style switches or dispatchers. The simple graphics work well, but the lack of music leaves the experience rather empty; more sound effects and even voices would be a great addition. With a few visual effects, an ambient soundtrack, and a short tutorial, the game would improve a lot, especially since the concept is both original and promising.
Big thanks for your detailed review. I agree, there is room for improvement, especially on the explanation and atmosphere side.
i couldnt really figure what stuff has to go where ... maybe im too tired xD
but the idea is cool and i image it gets fun stressful with more trains
Thanks a lot for your feedback! We will add an explanation which goods need to go where, the color and style similarities between goods and stations don´t seem to work by themself.
