I enjoy the crunchy audio and the simple style. Personally i felt the controls were a little too floaty. Maybe having a stronger gravity value (coupled with stronger jump force to keep jump height the same) would be helpful to give it a bit more snap and less floaty. This will also help increase the challenge a bit more since you will have less time to adjust your position while floating. Other than that the core of this game is well done. Great work!
i am planning on updating the game and i'll definitely keep that in mind, thank u so much for the feedback! :D
This is really good!
far better than my first game was!
The only real issue is it's easy, and of all the issues to have that is a pretty good one!
yea, i agree it's little too easy lol, i couldn't implement everything that i wanted to, so i was honestly a bit embarrassed to submit it but i'm trying not to be too hard on myself cuz it's my first game and i can always improve it after :) thank u sm for playing and the comment!
love the graphics of this game, and the audios super crunchy and nice!
but i did find that the only thing you need to press to play this game almost perfectly is the space bar so perhaps the platform you land on should keep moving aswell :)
thank u for playing and kind words! that was actually my original idea but i couldn’t quite get it working in time T__T
i tried a version where both the player and the platforms moved together, but then spawning new platforms and scrolling the camera was very buggy
with this version, the platform spawning + camera scrolling worked, but i couldn’t figure out how to make the player move smoothly with the platform (they’d either slide around or clip through after a second '-.-)
stopping the platforms ended up being the quickest way to get a working build out for the jam, but i definitely want to revisit it and polish things more later!
you could also add natural sway as the dinosaur jumps to make it harder to just stay in one spot :D
