How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
The main mechanic is shattering, in particular a mirror, with lots of theming around reflections. Additionally, the protag has dirt poor luck.

That was fun! A bit visually disjointed in places, but overall competently implemented with an intriguing premise and charming art. I love the mushroom fellows!
The camera isn't aligned with the pixel grid, which means the character appears to shake when the camera moves.
All-in-all, good work! Congratulations on the submission!
Thank you for taking the time to play! :> The mushroom fellas were fun to write for! I managed to figure out the camera jitter in the very next jam I partook in, which is a bit unfortunate timing-wise. Thank you, though, for both the compliments and critiques!
Wow, what an entry! i enjoyed this a whole lot. The switching mechanic in the shattered remnant was great to figure out, and I don't agree that the colors are too much. They add quite a vibe to the game imo, but i can understand that some people could feel a bit bothered. Great work!
Thank you so much! :> I'm glad you enjoyed my game! It was fun messing with the switching mechanic for the remnant, so its good you liked the implementation.
like the switch of universe mechanic. the colours were a bit much for me in places tho! nice work
Thank you for playing! :> I've gotten previous comments about the colors, don't worry you're not alone in that regard. I'll keep it in mind moving forwards.
Really cool concept. Was very confused but I can't dock it for a really cool ghimmick it had!
Really enjoyed it.
Thank you a lot! :> I couldn't get everything I wanted down in time, but it's good to see it was still enjoyable! I had a lot of fun coming up with ways to mess around with the shattering.
I like this game a lot, and the atmosphere is great. The only small improvement I’d wish for is that in the mirror world the colors aren’t quite as bright and chaotic. Other than that, top!
Thank you for the play! :> I've gotten a couple comments on that- It'll definitely be something I improve on if I get back on this! It got quite a bit rushed at the end there...
It gave me chills! Using the mirror to switch between two worlds was cool.
Visually, the mirror crack was a little disturbing and colors were a bit too saturated imo
Thank you! :> I mentioned it in another reply, but I was definitely influenced by Fran Bow a lot. If you liked it here and don't mind horror and disturbing theming, I would recommend it! I'll keep the overlay issue in mind for any future endeavors, as well as the color saturation (I usually go too unsaturated with my art, so I over-corrected). I'll be sure to check your game out later, after the required ratings! :>
An interesting experience! A lot can be achieved with the mechanics of change. I like the mushrooms and the character that resembles you.
Why thank you! :> It was a fun process coming up with what could be done with the idea of a shattering mirror and changing worlds, though I'll admit the announcement of Fran Bow coming back definitely influenced my final idea... oh! And I'll be sure to check your game out after sifting through those required submissions!
The swapping from broken to whole/inverted to proper coloring was really cool! I like the potential it gives your puzzles, having to think ahead and swap between the two palettes.
Thank you very much! It was fun coming up with puzzles, as a lot of my ideas in the past hadn't really included them. I'm glad you found it all cool! :> I'll be sure to check your game out as well after checking out the required ratings.
Very trippy experience! Great use of pallet changes to show light/dark in the beginning and make it fee strange later. It was really not like anything I've seen for GB before!
It took me a while to figure out what to do in a few places and some of the text was hard to make sense of. I made it as far as the dejavu scene, but couldn't figure out what to do from there. Was there more?
Thank you! As soon as I learned about palette swapping, I knew I wanted my main gameplay feature to include it. :> As for the deja vu scene, there is more afterwards (it's a bit of a chase scene, the glass tiles at the end are spots you can swap, unlike the "void spots"). I'll keep the difficult text in mind though, so thank you for the criticism! I'll be sure to check out your game after sifting through the required ratings!
It's an interesting premise for a story, but a little confusing how different narrative elements could be connected without more to play through. I liked the attention to detail on the various dialogue moments with the environmental storytelling and mushroom characters.
If I had to critique anything I'd say that the overlay graphic for the broken mirror made it very difficult to read what was going on underneath on a few occasions. If that could be more subtle then it would feel more like a "nice touch" and less of a distraction or hinderance on paying attention to the gameplay at the time.
Thank you for the compliments and suggestions. :> I'm proud of my dialog skills so I'm glad those came through. The overall confusing story is mostly due to my overestimating what I could do in time. I'll keep the overlay thing in mind for future endeavors, though. I'll be sure to check your game out after sorting through the required ratings! :>
