How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
The game is a cheap copy of TEARDOWN, it swaps the guns, axes and tools for the special object in the weapon of a carton of eggs. Instead of voxel based destruction around all sorts of places you’re egging art galleries.

I liked this one a lot. The paintings were really funny but also just good art and it plays well aside from getting stuck running in place a few times
Thanks Zoe did a great job with the paintings. Annoyed I wqasnt able to get the getting stuck issue fixed in time but will try to later this year as well as some of the other bugs. Thanks for playing.
Thoughts while playing
1. Woah nice title art! (Side note: Crackdown makes me think of the action series)
2. I keep opening the game and accidentally closing it because I can press the quit button before game loaded and I often click on the middle of my screen. I thought my computer froze.
3. Oh wow I can actually highlight text is this a proper browser? Oh shit I closed the text because I pressed a button. Reset. Can I delete this text with backspace? Oh I just closed it again. Reset. Oh the end of the paper said any button to exit. I'd prefer one button that said 'close' to avoid this again. Something about having controls in parenthesis next to text makes it hard to real for me. (Small 'securiy' misspell).
4. Accidentally threw an egg, whoops. Holy shit these paintings are **amazing**!!!! Hilarious. The idea of having to memorize which paintings were generated where so you can hit each before time runs out is great. Got stuck in a corner, reset! Picture (caught myself 3+ times, same with the stairs). Are these lights cameras or different? They're different. Alarm rang, RUN! Lets not scare my roommates without headphones. Out the front door I guess? I'd think I'd take a side exit. Neat that was cool.
5. Accidentally skipped past report and can't go back. Redo. THE PEKKA 7 elixir insane value that's amazing. Using audience references is a stroke of genius. Wait you can reload your egg carton? Nice I made it out. Which paintings did I get wrong? Doesn't seem like I needed to hit all of the paintings. Maybe suggesting where to look to get the references we don't get would be useful.
6. Woah these generated levels are cool!! Is it even possible to upstairs and still escape in time with how slow I move? Ah, alarm didn't seem to end the game. Well that was enjoyable.
This game blew away my expectations, hilarious and well made!! I wrote a bunch of thoughts here just to fix the small stuff. Concept is great, art style is great, game is great, fun stuff. If I were to extend this, I think the main point is making planning an escape more worthwhile, as I started to feel I couldn't reach the exit in time nor needed to hit all the paintings. The money felt extra, while my real goal was to hit everything on the checklist. Also, for variety, maybe make only a subset of art in each level so you can stumble across new ones. I absolutely love it.
Holy shit thanks for the feedback.
1. Thanks.
2. Not sure if there is a way to disable input until fully loaded in Godot but could probably fix that.
3. I did try to implement code for having to click a email auto reply type button at the bottom to move on but couldnt get it working in.
4. Thanks, Zoe did an amazing job with the paintings. I thought that I had fixed the getting stuck on meshes but I hadn't not entirely sure why it happens and I'm not experienced enough in Godot to figure out how. Yeah I agree that we should've made the escape path more obvious.
5. Yeah having a better inbetween galleries result screen would've been nice. Didn't even think about having the paintings you got wrong displayed in the email, I should've even inlcuded the hints in the email results after gallery so you could learn.
6. Thanks, not sure if it is actually possible or not oops. Yeah the alarm system broke right near the end of the Jam and I couldn't get it working again.
I agree the money mechanic made a lot more sense on paper than in practice but I am happy with this seeing as this was my third game and first in Godot. I am glad you enjoyed it and thank you for all the feedback.
Lukas, the game is awesome. I probably came off pretty harsh but I find that most helpful when considering what to do next to improve it, most of it was nitpicking! The mechanics make a lot of sense on paper and it's very clear a lot of thought went into it, and I think it can still work with a little tweaking. I'm saving this to come back to, so if you have a second to edit things I'd like to see it :)
I didnt take it as harsh at all I appreciate all of the feedback immensely. I definetly think that I will come back to this later this year once I've finished other up projects to polish it up into a more bug free full experience.
I really like the graphic style, it sticks in your mind. If you can implement a web version please
Wanted to do a web version but it wouldn't work with itch.io because of the files sizes.
Great game and fabulous graphics. I just sometimes get stuck in the place while walking around.
Yeah I ran into this while testing and managed to fix most of it with hidden collision boxes but for some reason still happens a bit.
Cool art style! Also the game build caught my attention. Which game engine is this?
Thanks so much. This is in Godot first time using though so a bit scuffed.
I absolutely love the visuals on this one. The game runs well except for when I am holding an egg in my hand, then there is a big white rectangle on the bottom right corner of my screen.
Oh what. I can't seem to reproduce this in any way. Is it during when the thorwing animation should be playing or just when the egg is being held static.
It happens from the moment I get the egg in my hand until it is on the ground/wall.
Oh stragne that's really weird because the whole system is running on an animated sprite2d including the empty hand so it's weird that animation is showing while the others are not. If you wouldn't mind could you try re downloading the game just to see if it persists because i cant get it to reproduce at all.
Yeah I can try. I'll let you know how it goes when I do it.
It was fun, but had some issues. Could only see one painting on the target list, and there are some floorboards on the right side that you can get stuck on, locking you in place. Had a blast chucking eggs at Man-a Lisa, though.
Glad you enjoyed it. Did a quick patch and those issues should all be fixed now.
