I love the UI and the game. It takes a little bit long to start, but that's cool. I didnโ€™t know what to say to the other NPCs while loading, but I still love the style <3

First of all, well done on making a complete game, this is solid work.

I was wondering though, how exactly is the "shift timeline" mechanic different from simply reloading a save?

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks!
Two things, mainly :
- To get the good ending the protagonist needs to use knowledge he learned in other timelines, so it wouldn't make sense narratively if it was just the player reloading.
- To beat all routes you'd have to know when to save, and make dozens of saves at the right time, figure out which save is which and which one you have to load, etc ... it would be very extremely hard and annoying. With the branching path flowchart this is way easier both to do and to understand.

Ahh so it makes sense diagetically as well as being practically more convenient. Got it. Thanks for the reply, good luck for the results!

Love this! It's more ambitious than escape protocol, and that's saying something. You really polished the art and AI characters. I'd say you knocked it out of the park!

Wow just wow. Good job man awsome. Did you make the pixleart yourslef? As a pixleart artist it looks absolutely beautyful. I had some problems swithcing between movement and talking but apart of that really well polished. It feels like a totaly completed game not just any game made for a game jam. :)

It really feels like a complete game and I think that in itself is amazing. I got to the good ending but I was a little heartbroken I didn't manage to convince Aira to trust me without the hint (even though she said she trusted me and that I could too! I got backstabbed!).

The Timeshift mechanic makes me feel like there's a lot of potential to the idea - there could be more stuff that the player can do to affect the outcomes. Overall it's fun and engaging. Nice use of TTS too. Awesome.

I loved the game. It's about trust and following the game through multiple endings. I was surprised by the number of phrases it has, congratulations.

Hahahahahaha, I loved the villain's giggle. ๐Ÿ˜‚
