This was a really neat idea! Growing out the mycelium by dragging across the screen feels satisfying, and it ties straight into the Expansion theme in a way that makes perfect sense. Dodging worms while chasing after apple cores adds that little bit of tension, and I enjoyed the natural flow of weaving your own network. The smooth camera and trailing effects add polish, and the UI stays out of the way so the focus remains on the growth itself.

The controls actually feel really good! I noticed a bug where the win screen started flashing in the corner and then disappeared, but overall it was fun to play. The movement is very smooth!

The controls are really cool! Though I think a tutorial for how to use them would be helpful, I've totally overlooked the "click and drag" text, and only found the controls through trial and error. Also, the trail was a nice touch, it works well together with the controls

Really liked the camera movement and the speed increase based off of distance which incentivized me to pay closer attention. This jam was my first time exploring shaders as well! Congrats on all the learnings :) If you do end up working on this past the game jam I think it would be so cute to see your idea of the mushroom amongst its mushroom family. This was fun!

This is a cool movement mechanic! And for your first game I think being able to understand/implement a shader is very impressive, so great job!

WOwza thanks frinkly :)

Awesome work, the camera is really smooth and it's really fun overall. Maybe adding some idea to incentivize the player to play this with increasing speed to make it non-trivial, would be great!

Keep it up! :)

Thanks!

Cool idea ! FYI : The "you win" screen is centered top left but nothing unplayable of course :)

Short but sweet, camera is smooth, trail is nice one point I didn't like is that the speed increasedtoo quickly regarding the distance of the "center point"
