How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
Only uses four colours (apart from game engine screen but I can't change that). You fall down the stairs and then your stretcher falls out of the ambulance you were in, which is unlucky. The resolution is 160x144, but the viewport is scaled to exaclty five times that. No AI content was used.

Congrats on your first game jam entry. Impressive you got an opening intro in the game too with only 5 hours of work.

Submitted

Really fun! The opening intro was perfect and then the game play itself was pretty solid—the controls didn't feel as responsive as I was hoping they'd be for this high-speed/high-stakes scenario. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

loved the game! intro was funny, the music was great and loved the controls, dead simple.  For spending only 5 hours its pretty solid.

Developer

Thanks a lot!

5 Hours!? Well done. With some scoring and a leaderboard this could be really solid. Music was excellent and opening cinematic was fun. Great job.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I wanted to add those things, but I had to get back to my main project...

Loved the animation at the start. Also love the music. Gameplay was fun but i found that by always holding right or left, the speed didn't change and I didn't have to accelerate again. Maybe zig-zagging really fast is optimal stretcher dashing behaviour in real life too!

honestly pretty awesome for a first jam and in 5 hours.

I liked the music but it is incredibly loud, I had to turn my volume down to right above mute and it was still blasting. Cool palette selection and unique story for the jam's theme.

For a five hour (I could never get something out that quick, that's genuinely impressive), first ever submission, this was great! :> I love the vibe the game gives (the rotating stretcher is very fun) and the use of a simple contrasting palette! A score/distance meter could be cool, but other than that this is solid, down to the sound effects/music! Keep on making! :>

pretty good for first jam game and 5 hours

It's a great entry for one of your first projects and the fantasy is quite fun from the beginning.

As others have mentioned, having a score meter for distance or time before you die would be a great way to give players enough incentive to go for more runs to try and beat their high scores and really round out the experience.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I would have, those were both things I desperately wanted to add, but I had other things to do.

I find the game and the idea really funny, and I also like that you can rotate the stretcher completely :-).

Impressive for 5 hours.

pretty cool for 5 hours, just needs a score meter
