I don't it is really hard bro, might left some clues on description , how the lamp code actually works!!

Developer(+1)

We've provided hints and solutions in the description actually, do check it out! Hints are vague enough that they don't spoil your experience but helpful enough to make progress. Let us know if it helps!

Good Game, and really awesome concept. execution of it had some problems, it was really hard and tooooooook me a while to figure out the clues also i had some problems with the displays/screens I wasn't able to like close it,

wasn't a bad game at all was definitely cool, the art and sound design was 10/10 overall I will give it around 8.5/10

Developer

It was intentional to make the game hard so as to provide the satisfaction of beating it, but based on the feedback, you're right, I think we could've done a better job balancing it. Thanks for playing the game and for the kind words!

Yo tried the game but couldnt realy get anywhere. You could make maybe the clues a bit more obvious. Another problem I have ran into was that I couldnt really get out of the screens. I mean like when I enter the code the only way to close that screen was to escape the fullscreen and then escape it. Maybe if you add a button it can be solved. The pixleart looked cool as well as the visuals and the soundesign :).

Oh sorry to hear that. We wanted it to be hard in order to get the satisfaction of figuring it out, didn't think it might be too hard. In the page we've written some hints before giving the solutions, which are vague enough that they don't spoil anything and they give you a slight nudge towards playing the game right. Hope you could give it a try again in the future.

Yeah the problem with fullscreen in web is that the browser by default uses it to minimize fullscreen, so it doesn't work as expected in game. Best way around it is to rebind that key to "P" or something. If you're talking about the locked door code entry screen, pressing the interact button again while in that screen should close it.

Thanks for the kind words!

I love Metroidbrainia! This one might be too smart for me though, or maybe Dr. Moreau is a bit too crazy ^^'
Is the web version updated too, or just the downloadable ones?

For other readers, SPOILERS below, but basically here's how I'm stuck in the 3 main places I found:
- Bog: Dr. keeps on telling me to watch for places with less ripples and that it's safe to cross there, but I keep on dying, is he just crazy?
- Door with code: Dr. tells me to look for rocks for the code but I couldn't find a rock anywhere.
- Lampposts: Couldn't figure out what to do, Dr. told me to step in dark places once they flicker off but that didn't seem to do anything.

Web version worked great for me (on Firefox, on Chrome pressing backspace go back to the previous page so it's annoying to type), but there's a bug you can fix super easily. Basically, if you use the itch.io fullscreen button, it breaks the game (only half is visible), but if you use the blue unity fullscreen button, it works great. So you should disable the itch's button (dashboard -> edit game -> fullscreen button).

: Clicking the transparent one break the resolution.

Hey thanks for playing the game!

The main thing about the doctor is that his memory is gone so whatever he keeps rambling bs. But in those ramblings are clues. Basically he says the opposite of what's true. Also, any general information he gives must be fact-checked :)

Spoilers below: -

If you asked about the flickering lampposts in that area he'll say, "Watch every single one, don't ignore anything" and he'll emphasise it. So that means not every single lamp means something. Only three of them mean something, as the locked door can be opened with a 3 letter code. And he says the bog is safe right, so it's not and you'll die there now. You'll have to progress a bit before knowing how to cross it. I won't say anymore, if this helps and you have time, try the game again and see if you can progress!

Also thanks for the tip about the fullscreen, very helpful.

I see, I assumed his memory thing meant some "imagined" things would be mixed with the truth when he speaks, I didn't think he'd straight up be saying the opposite! This helps a lot.
I'm managed to get further, now I'm currently trying to figure out what to do with the beeping tree ^^

Developer

Oh lol understandable. Initially we thought about making him give the clues and straight up tell the player, but we decided we wanted players to actually think and try to figure out the puzzles themselves, so decided on this. You can also check out the hints we've written, we made sure to make then as non-spoilery as possible :)

Let me know how it goes!

Developer

Created a new windows version, fixed all known bugs.
Game is properly playable from start to end.

Currently there's a bug where if you directly start the game, the controls won't work.
Currently working on fixing it, until then try rebinding the controls once in the options menu first, that should fix it.
Thanks for understanding.
Edit:
Controls issue is fixed, right now there's a bug where the regions aren't loading.
