that was a journey, a really fun one with a bang ending.

the bendy melody was cool brought an immediate smile to my face.

That "lead" melodic instrument is perfect! It is so squeaky and mouse-like. Really cool way to fit the theme.

The time is doing weird stuff that I found hard to follow at first. I see you used the 'challenge of the stair', so it makes sense. Let me analyze... Is it doing... a single measure of 4/4, then a single measure of 5/4, and then two measures of 6/4? Ah, looking at your DAW, I see I was right! That's a very interesting idea for sure: you're not just walking up the stairs once, but you keep running up and up and up the stairs! It makes it a bit hard to follow since you switch so often, never allowing us to really find a time to grasp onto. And the 5/4 and 6/4 parts seem to be designed to sound like a 4/4, making the two beats of 6/4 sound more like three beats of 4/4 instead. From 1:23 onward, you switch to a constant 4/4 beat, giving us that resting place, which is nice. I do find this second half a bit less fitting, having this EDM-like "party"-kick.

Overal, really cool entry! You should be happy with the result, it all sounded very nice :D

Very creative with unexpected drums towards the end. Great job!

Nice vibes! I get the chill travelling feel you're going for, and the squeak-style sounds are a great touch. I do wonder if the rhythm of the movement fits Squeak though, it currently sounds like the music is moving with bigger strides, while I imagine rodents to move in a scurrying motion, with their little feet tapping the floor a lot. Might be something cool to think about! Thanks for sharing!

Nice tune! I liked the pitch shifts with the main synth, and where they sound. I felt that the "magic" aspect of the rat wasn't quite there for how I pictured it, but the travel aspect you gave to it is super on point.

Your melody with the pitch bends really does sound like a squeaking rat. Very nice job with that! I like that the name of the track implies that you are moving through different places and that is certainly what we get with this song. My favorite part is the “PhonkBell” part. I wonder if returning to the first part again at the end would help round out the track and help enhance the cohesion between the varied parts? Not only were you successful with the stair challenge, but you did it repeatedly throughout the song! Nice work and thank you for sharing!

There's a lot of variance which I like and the song is very neat. I like how the instruments all sound and the jibe with each other in a nice way.

Sometimes it felt like different songs however and it didn't feel like there was a discernable throughline which made it feel somewhat disjointed.
