A friendly theme that plays when you meet a really adamant ghost that collects songs.

It's a simple and interesting theme for a ghost character. I guess there were some inspiration like Animal Crossing but it kinda envolved to it's own thing so idk.

I went for both challenges, the stair with the ascending time signatures in the middle of the song, and the reduction, which means there's no more than 3 instruments playing simultaneously.

The main instrument sounds almost like you reversed it, as it goes from soft to loud. This fits really well, giving it a bit of a spooky vibe. And it still feels quite chill and "cool" 😎

The chord at 0:38 was unexpected and signals the transition to the 5/4 phase. Here, it seems you add a 5th beat to the end where you sort-of repeat the 4th beat in an interesting way. The melody also goes a bit wonky, which feels quite nice and spooky. You linger for quite a while in 6/4, and I wonder if it is not a bit too long without any real movement of melody; it felt a tad bit out-of-place with the rest of the song. The transition back to 4/4 worked well again.

Overal, this song fits the guy really well and sounds cool and nice! I found it very nice to hear some of your songs again, these jams. It feels like it has been way too long. I'm curious to hear more from you in the future :D

Thanks! I agree the 6/4 doesn't fit to the overall song but i liked it too much to try to come up with anything new on time heh

Wait, this was made in UltraBox!? I started off composing in BeepBox, but I can't imagine making something so good in that thing, as much as I love it. Amazing job! It's really great how catchy the music is, while remaining chill and nice to listen to on repeat. Thanks for sharing!

heey thanks for listening! ultrabox has much more features than beepbox, specially samplings and modulation channels so I def recommend checking it out!

The 6/4 part is outstanding! Super fun track, very well made, really intelligent and fits totally with the theme and a videogame environment. I would put it in a "hours of XXX song to chill" video style, it doesn't get boring. Really great job!

I am so amazed by what you can create on UltraBox! You are able to consistently create tracks that sound like they belong in real GameBoy or NES titles. Using chiptune makes a lot of sense for the reduction challenge, but I can also hear the frequent passing back and forth from one instrument to another so I can tell a lot of intentionality went into it. Very nice use of both themes - I’m noticing a pattern in myself that I am liking all the 5/4 sections best and yours is no different. I really like the dark quirky harmony introduced in that section. Great work as usual and thank you for sharing!

I like that you went with both challenges! I thought of doing that but decided to stick with just 1 (even though with minor tweaking I could have gotten it down to 3 instruments).

I liked the 6/4 time the best. It was a vibe.
