I procrastinated throughout the days bc I really had no idea how to tackle it, the idea just popped up at the last day
why that challenge though? it's a lot easier than composing to 5/4 then 6/4, especially since i was doing this in the middle of the night and i wanted to sleep already lol, did i succeed? idk but I like to think I did, refer to the screenshot for proof ig

Haha, very nice! It seems I am not the only one who thought about a rap-feeling and a hiphop-style beat. That initial sound reminds me so much of a particular game... Sonic Tennis for the DS or something, where it was used for the rapper-guy. Very smooth! And it fits the guy so well too.
I love that first melodic instrument! It's just some saw-synth or something, but it sounds so clean. And it has some glide on it, which just makes it so much more smooth! The cut-off staccato chords on that piano-like instrument also work really well. And you also use that one instrument that Toby Fox used for some of his songs - no idea what sample that is, but cool choice.
Very cool song! Especially given that you only used 3 instruments at once and "was doing this in the middle of the night and wanted sleep". Always makes me a bit annoyed, when people make it sound like they put no effort into their song and still put out such bangers haha. Great job, I'm keeping this one ;)
Wow, so catchy and fun, I loved listening to this! The sections flow so well into each other and are varied enough and interesting while sounding cohesive together. Great job!
One of the best tracks of the jam in my opinion. Super fun to listen to, great breakdown with what i believe is a synth pad, great compositional skills too.
Chill is such a good word to describe this track. I really like the laid back energy with the relaxed beat and all the 7th chords. Using a jazz trio ensemble format was a really smart idea for the reduction challenge. Even with relatively few instruments, this track doesn’t feel like it's missing anything at all! My favorite part is the third section with the melty sweet instrument that enters and moves around to non-functional chords giving it a ghost-like feeling. Sad to see you leave Team Bird… nevertheless, great work and thank you for sharing!
The only thing I can think of when I hear that voice synth is Omori.
