Team members
Only I worked on the game; Elijah. but I had my father playtest for bugs and difficulty

Software used
I used Godot as the engine, and Piskel for sprites and graphics. I (tried) to compose music in Famistudio, and generated sound sounds in SFXR

Use of the limitation
I'm not completely confident in my use of the limit, but the idea is that everything can be killed (or destroyed) and your only goal is to "Get Stronger" so you can beat stronger enemies and bosses.

Cookies eaten
I mean, if a few bowls of Cookie Crisp count, then, like, 500. Otherwise, 0 cookies were consumed ):

Very nice game,

I wish I could destroy the enemy bullet, though. The enemy pathing is also a bit janky and can get stuck in the corner

Very good work

So cool. That limitation usage is great. And there went my flash into eternal destruction xD BUT you thought about that flesh. Heals HP OR Energy and if both are full you get EXP. And Elijah, I must tell you, this is just great. You kept the reward curve up high. Made use of the Level for the world traversion. I like it.So yes, we will meet again. That was a great job so far. Keep that up.

Wow!! This game is so amazing!!

The implementation!!, and there is an old classic nostalgic feel which makes you wanna play it more.

For making this in 3 days jam is pretty amazing. Really enjoyed it.

Please do make a full version of it.

I'm spending a week finishing everything up. Super bummed that I couldn't finish everything in time, but the full version I envisioned will be done soon!

I like your game. It feels like it is inspired by old Legend Of Zelda games :D For 3 days it is good polished with music and sounds! Great job. I didn't understand mechanic of the energy and always was lucking it.

Thank you so much!

Energy depletes when you use the sword, and you can recover it by standing still for a bit.

the game feel like undertale. Where you feel like you shouldn't kill stuff but that is the only way you know to progress.

It's a good game, well presented, but I don't see the limitation truly implemented. You can kill enemies, yes, but like any other game, it's the biggest problem I've seen in most games in this jam. Still, I had fun playing it.

...Well... I mean, everything can be destroyed. Get Strong enough, and you can break fences (LV3), then rocks (LV5), then trees and entrances (LV9), then open up new passages through blocked entrances (LV10).

While there isn't enough EXP to get to LV10 on a standard playthrough... But if you find every blocked off area, every secret room, and defeated every enemy then break every bit of terrain you find... You can get to LV10, and break open entrances and cut down trees, and close off entrances.

...I would say the only thing you can't kill are rock walls in dungeons and the UI, lol. But regardless, you can break everything else, kill NPCs, Items, and, of course, enemies.

It's pretty good, I didn't notice those details, just play a few minutes

I'm amazed. How did you make this so fast? There's so much enemy variety and the spritework is fantastic!

Thank you so much! I'm happy you enjoyed this little demo-thing! Really good to hear somebody say that they actually like my game!

I made this mostly by working at double-speed, so a lot of bugs were swept under the rug or given band-aid approaches. A lot of code is also reused from my main project, or tied together. Keys and Boss Doors use the same basic code, and NPCs are just practically just enemies with a speed of 0 and no damage hitbox...
