Thanks to everyone who commented! Feedback about the overly lengthy intro was pretty consistent so I will have to make that a priority when I return to this project.
Nice concept, but the explanation at the start was way too long and confusing, and afterwards I died of a trap instantly and then died of hunger with no idea where to find food.
Oh, I REALLY like the ideas you have here, very fond of how you've set up the boots swapping and wearing out. Hopefully you'll explore this further after the jam!

I like the idea going on here, even if the preamble is a little long. Would be really nice with some art. Good job getting this much done in time for the jam! Would be neat to see if you ever get the butter boots, er, golden shoes yourself!
