I'm not going to touch on the ads, because that seems to be the only thing you're replying to in the comments, and I don't want you to condense my comment into just a critique of your decision to include monetization into your game. What I WILL add is the fact that team sizes for this jam are limited to 6, and I just checked your trailer, and it seems like you have 8 people listed for art, as well as 2 sound people, so that's 10, not including developers. I would say that potentially you could've also started working on the game before September began due to when you submitted, but again, I don't know how many people you had on your team. Have enough team members, and you can get quite a significant amount done while also submitting on Sept 13th.

EDIT: Or just check the submission page, they're credited there too. Didn't see that at first

Hello! Those are actually just the names of the people whose assets I used.

I’m working alone. The reason I listed names instead of links is because some of the authors of those free assets prefer to be credited that way. Another reason is that there wasn’t enough space for all the link text.

Sorry for the misunderstanding! I’ll make it clearer next time. :>

This game was made and submitted for other jams and includes ads, so it feels a bit like it was submitted here for visibility rather than being created specifically for the Healthy Gamer jam. That doesn’t feel very respectful to the spirit of what people are doing here, does it?

Developer

Sorry about the ads. I’ll avoid that in the future.

I like the art and the music is really nice, its a very cosy game. However, the constant asking for ads kinda ruins that.

Developer

Sorry about the ads. I’ll avoid that in the future.

Watch ads in a game jam game is really against the spirit of what we're doing here, sort of ruined it for me despire the very pretty assets and good sound

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback! And sorry about the ads. I’ll avoid that in the future.

This is not uploaded to itch, so it doesn't follow the contest rules

I liked the environment and style. Felt like I was exploring, but didn't know what I was doing or where to go. The watch ads ruined it for me though.

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback!. Sorry about the ads. I’ll avoid that in the future.

Too empty, as in nothing to do, and the controls are not satisfying (tardy response times). Also what's with the ads? "Skip this level by watching ads".. I mean I'd like to play the game, not skip it. Sound is good and lighting is good though. Good job on this overall.

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I’ll definitely look into making the gameplay more engaging the next project and Sorry about the ads to skip levels. I’ll avoid that in the future.”
