I am in love with the artstyle and the vibe! The puzzles were hard tho and the guide really helped lmao- def got stuck a few times even on the easier ones.

Really pretty game with very nice music. Thanks for the puzzle guide, I was having a hard time with that one.

I got to the ending of the gameplay I think. Is something supposed to happen? I am looking inside her room but couldn’t find how to progress.

I advanced in the game. It was in the area you provided the red guideline for and I followed the instructions. I must be missing something with the boxes.

I was soft locked between them.

Developer

Thanks for the little bug report. Definitely gotta check those collision layers and mess around with that when we get back to fixing up stuff. Saw the other comment as well about the ending. We definitely had more planned there, just didn't get the chance to implement it when finishing up. I really loved our artists' work so want to go back and implement the extra narrative bits we didn't get too since there's some unused art assets/story bits to wrap up our little game. But glad you enjoyed and thanks for the feedback!

Hey there, pointy-hat-Morgan-buddies! Great job on your game, I really enjoyed it. The art is absolutely beautiful, I love both the pixel art and the portraits. Really damn pretty.

I have a piece of feedback too! It took me a while to figure out what I was meant to do at the start, especially since I tried interacting with the bed immediately and it didn't work so I just assumed it wasn't interactable. Probably a browser/itch.io bug, web is always a bit more finicky, but maybe the game would benefit from having indicators for what can be interacted with? This is pretty minor though, it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game.

Also, after a while, the music just suddenly stops for me and doesn't come back until I go through a door. I'm not sure if it's related to your audio implementation, but maybe it's not, I'm definitely not counting it against the game, those things happen. It could be related to me alt+tabbing to write notes about the game.

I thought the narrative was nice, and I feel like it would have been even better to have a few small hints of it interspersed between the puzzles, maybe a couple of lines showing her thoughts? But I really liked it as it is too.

Great job on the game! One of my favourites, for sure.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. We definitely wanted to have more indicators and I think only ended up having a singular one. Last minute stuff that we just kinda got to the wire on. Thanks for the note about music. One of the last things we implemented so good to know for future updates. Might test out the Alt+Tab situation see if that's it or if it has to do with the in-engine implementation. There's some planned updates to address a lot of these issues/bits of feedback when voting is over but I'm glad that you enjoyed!

Really cool game and amazing art! The stone puzzle in the third door stumped me, I was never good at those in the pokemon games either.

Developer

Thank you! We did include a solution for the third puzzle because it also stumped the other developer/programmer who made it LOL
But I feel ya, I remember those Pokemon puzzles leaving me confused.

The art was so pretty, I wanted to see what happen after completing the puzzles but here seems to be missing dialogue and a satisfying ending for defeating the dark Morgan at the end. Also using Z to attack while trying to move with WASD wasn't the greatest choice. Still enjoyed it! The last stone puzzle was hard for no reason lol (I think I'm just dumb)

Developer(+1)

I loved our artists work! So the WASD and Z thing was superrrrrrr last minute. Throughout the entirety of testing we used arrow keys (which still do work for movement) but one of our artists took on some programming duties last minute and added the WASD indicator at the start. So for the sake of not changing the UI last minute we made it so WASD works to move (which I knew would conflict with the Z but we were super down to the wire). There's definitely more dialogue we wanted to have when completing puzzles or during the puzzle itself that we just didn't get the chance to implement. To quote the other main programmers words, yeah that last puzzle was insanely hard for no reason, no clue why he made it so hard, even he struggled to do it with his own solution written out. Glad you enjoyed though! We are thinking about updating the build with some of the planned extra stuff once voting is over so stay tuned!

I wasn't sure if there was anything left to do after waking up from the dream.  Indicators to prompt the player on what they should interact with could have been helpful. So you know, there was an unfortunate bug at the long stone puzzle where the mob would go under the platform and push me into the cracked stone :( Besides that, the portrait designs were really cool! It would have been nice to get a bit more storytelling from the characters and items Morgan interacts with.

Developer

Thanks for the input! I think there's more storytelling we wanted to do and definitely more indicators of things that can be interacted with, we just cut it really close when working on everything ;-; I think for the bug, the stone puzzle was the last one to be made, so we just didn't get as much time to test things so thanks for that note! We will likely be updating the build after the voting period with some of the changes we wanted to make so maybe stay tuned for some of those updates!
