very fun concept! good art and narration. Could be a decent mobile game.

Cool vibes, but confusing controls. I can sail around and visit ports, but buying things doesn't seem to deduct money. And I can't sell them again later.
Edit: I figured out the trading.
- ports are named randomly on each play through (3 letter words)
- each tradeable good can only be sold at a particular port
- you buy a good with numbers from any port, then sell them at the port they are intended for with the letter keys
- you only get money when selling items, not buying. In effect, you are accepting a delivery contract rather than buying items.
Bugs:
- you can go into negative money when buying ships, so earning money isn't really necessary
- trade prices are refreshed each time you visit a port, so you can just move away a square and come back to see a new list of items
- there's no indication when you reach max ship upgrades (i spent way too much time grinding upgrades haha)
Nice little game :)
Nice art, and I'm curious about the story, when I bought something my money didn't go down
I liked the mechanics of moving goods from port to port, although I never really felt threatened by the obstacles that you put in (wind, sharks, etc.), so it felt like a straight shot between islands. Also I got the message that I'm finally free and that I can join my family but I don't know where they are, and it doesn't seem like there's a way to close out that message, so I'm gonna guess that's where you ended the game. Cool game, the trading gimmick is a good foundation, and it feels like this game is ripe to have more interactions built-in to what you've got here
I think it needs a bit more instructions. I was not quite sure what to do, sorry. I like that we both went for a boat game! Congrats on getting a game submitted!
I liked the art and overall vibe for this game; however, it felt incomplete, or if it was, the instructions on gameplay and mechanics were not made clear. Other than that, I was not sure how I could restart when I lost so I reloaded the page to try and figure out the gameplay. Unfortunately, I could not understand my task.
