The writing is really, really great. I enjoyed that dialogue with the boss a lot. I know you wrote you are not a writer so I have to say great opener. The graphics are very good!! The way you got a 3d FPS to work smoothly is sweet!

We had relatively similar gameplay mechanics in mind.

I would have made the tutorial part more bright personally because I had trouble seeing things on my monitor (mostly my monitor being dark).

tiny spoiler
I love that it says "you failed to satisfy your manger when you get killed". lol

I delivered a package and fought the machines (repaired them) but I didn’t know if I did good or not. It wasn’t clear if I completed all the objectives and finished the level or not.

Thanks so much for your kind words, and thank a million for playing!

Yes, I was worried players may get confused on what their current objective was, but it seem like you managed it, as you made it to the boss.

There actually an unimplemented feature working in the background, but not displayed on the ui. I want the pause menu to have a log of you current tasks even if it was just a simple prompt like "go to elevator".

The vibes are immaculate I felt myself turning into Morgan for a second losing track of time and getting sucked in! I usually get headaches playing fps games but this didn't leave me queasy at all! Excellent work.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

tbh I don't have any clue what I did to prevent your head aches, but im glad you could play in comfort.

Level design is amazing. I like how simple yet full each room felt and how the lighting matched the vibe. The music was super fitting as well. The gun spin/reload animation is cool af.

The addition of multiple power ups was well made and I really enjoy that the starting room was a tutorial. Not sure if it's only me - clicking to exit out of the info screens was using up my left click bullets 😬

Really cool idea, with good design, funny dialogue and a clear direction.

Good job to everyone involed!

Thank so much for playing! Really appreciate it the feedback.

The left click exit is literally just a bug we didn't want to prioritise in the last 24 hours so it got left in!

Don't for get to leave a rating!

Very fun game! Controls immediately felt great, mouse sensitivity was right, music was great. And so much content wow! An online leaderboard would really complete this so it makes more sense to use the correct colored bullets to compete on score.

Developer(+1)

I know im so jealous when I see a game-jam game with a functional leaderboard. I always try to put gameplay and experience first over the competitive side of chasing scores. Thank you so much for playing and the lovely feedback on the game feel!

This was fun to play, moving around felt very smooth with a satisfying pace, and the controls were intuitive :) nice work!

Really neat game, especially for 3d which I know can be a real pain to work with.

The music though for me is a big highlight. It fits really well and is very high quality, praise to whoever made the soundtrack.

Gameplay is smooth and satisfying, really unique mechanics with the gun colours, isn't just your average fps game, very well done!

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words, this is why we do it, to see one had fun!!! Jack is amazing, it's insane how fast he bangs out such high-quality tunes.

Very fun FPS game. Rewards shooting mindfully. Got a very good feel to the game.

Couldn't understand how knockback works! But the game is very fun and lot more engaging. Cannot believe this was completed within a month. Super Work!!

Developer

Thank you so much!!! Really happy you enjoyed yourself and over the moon about the comment on game feel. I put lots of late nights into the game as the only programmer, banging my head against walls until they worked. It's the least I can do working with such amazing 3d artist and musical composer!

A fun little FPS with some Portal vibes in the writing and humor. Surprised how well it ran in a browser, with very responsive gameplay. I did run into some glitchiness with bots spawning right underneath me, but nothing a quick Dodge couldn't get out of. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you so much for the comment! The writing I did late at night, half delirious! Im not a writer, but I deal in the silly and ridiculous, so I just stuck to my strengths. Im glad it came together in the end, maybe gave you a chuckle, and hopefully was understandable.
If you like silly mechanics and ridiculous humour, I actually have a game on Steam whose premise is literally trying ot stop a chicken from crossing the road, it's also free if ur interested (no microtransactions) https://store.steampowered.com/app/2906540/Scrambled_Eggs/

This is an interesting idea for a shooter. I definitely was starting to get the hang of it after a bit. I felt like I could play it in different ways and get rewarded, which is a tricky thing to pull off in a short demo! Awesome job getting this to run in a browser!

Thank you, I always want to give the player as many ways to find the fun as possible, I think the boomerng and and the Focus Time abiity really opened up a lot of possibilities!
Yes browser is madness!!! I had a little freakout asking for help in the HG-GH discord at day 7 as the package was already too big for itch xD. Very glad I started early, making builds on a private draft page so I always had time to pivot and fix the issue. But mostly it came down to our 3d artist streamlining his processes and making sure it can all fit!

Fun game! The gameplay is smooth, I love the look of the different-colored lazer beams traveling through the air. The color combo system is very fun and it's super unique (I haven't seen this before, nice!). The only question I have is, what should the player do when they have green and red but the enemy is blue? Maybe I haven't figured that out yet.

Edit: The sounds are super nice too :)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!!!
So with the 'Q' button, you can use the boomerang ability; if aimed correctly at the enemy, it will lock on, and the boomerang will have the same color as the enemy. This boomerang, once it hits, will set the enemy to a neutral color, meaning you can hit it with any bullet you like.

The good thing is, this will actually be good for your combo multiplier, providing more damage, overall points, and bonuses on health/shield drops.

The negative of this ability is that any bonuses potentially earned from hitting this enemy with the right bullet will no longer drop when they are set to this neutral state.

If you give the game another go, let me know how you get on!

1610 score. pretty fun, mouse sensitivity makes game really challenging =)

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! You can actually change this in the pause menu under 'mouse speed'

Shooting annoying appliances with cool techno-repair-guns! I had fun and actually kind of got sucked into it for a while!  If there was more content I probably would have played more. Funny vibes.
