Woah this was great, fit the theme really well, amazing art, nice music and a cool card game :)
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it:)
It was fun! Love it!
Glad you enjoyed! ❤️
OMG self-care costing 32 hours D: That’s life I guess (ok I just stacked a few doubling the cost cards in my deck ahah)
The game is really addictive and has great replayability. The gameplay is smooth and satisfying, and the music and art create a perfect vibe. I love how detailed every card is, including little text appearing when the card is played.
Also amazing job on the theme integration! I remember Dr. K talking about life being a deck-building game, and that’s exactly what I imagined :D
The game feels polished and pleasant to play. I just love it; guess I’ll spend some time playing it and stacking addiction cards in my own life’s deck…
Ah thank you! That’s such a nice message. When I saw the theme for this jam this was the first idea that popped into my head.
Also, I’m so glad you enjoyed the little speech texts that appear on the cursor! Was a last minute addition to give the game a little more life.
Also LOL at stacking addiction cards irl
Really cute color palette and aesthetic, I love the way you combined the elements of the theme to a card game. I will say, I'm not sure how stress is prevented? so I was full of obstacle cards by the end, maybe a tool tip when you hover over the UI elements would be helpful. Either way, great job!
Hi, first of all thank you for trying out our game, I’m glad you enjoyed the visual style.
In case you want to give it another go, the way to reduce stress is to play Wisdom (pink) cards. Players start with one in their deck (Touch Grass) but you can collect more by completing Wisdom (pink) projects. The stress bar will always move forward at the end of a day, but having lower stress will make it move less, and thus give the player less obstacle cards over the course of a game.
The stress mechanics are gone over in the tutorial at the beginning, but I’ll admit that this isn’t the best way to get the information across. After all, who wants to reads PowerPoint slides when they want to jump into a game? I wanted a more interactive tutorial but I ran out of time and went with the slides as compromise.
Adding more tooltips for things like this is definitely a good idea.

Really amazing game. Simple yet with so many different effects and a well thought out concept and end goal.
The music and sfxs were well selected and the art style is cozy and consistent. The game also progresses at a really good pace.
Good job!
Hey, thanks a lot for playing! Our talented artist MysticWhiskerArt actually wrote the song in one day, I definitely should have credited her 😅
Wow! I am actually addicted to this. Really creative card game design with mechanics that perfectly fit the current theme, leaving a subtle and sweet message behind. It has great replayability potential, which I have not seen in any other game I have tried. The strategic aspect of the game is very intriguing to explore, and I feel motivated to explore it. I can't help but wonder, which project type should I complete at what part of the game? Which card should I pick from every project in what order or priority? How do I create a deck that offers me a balanced hand most of the time? I wish I could offer some feedback other than compliments, but I personally only enjoyed the game.
Wow, thanks for playing! All of what you mentioned were goals of ours when we began designing this game. I'm so glad to hear that it met the mark!
Really really creative concept! The hours of the day being the resource/mana system for the cards is so insanely genius. Well done dude, this is a brilliant concept that could go places
Thanks for playing! I'm glad that people are finding this concept fun.
I'm so good at raising my stress levels lmao
Congrats on the game! It's very enjoyable and addicting (●'◡'●)
😆 Thanks!
The UX, sound effects and visuals were all good! The gameplay was great and 100% fits with the theme. It seems like a runner for an award.
One thing, is if you accidentally confirm an upgrade when no card is selected, for instance, if you need to confirm twice in a row, you might skip an upgrade.
I loved the implicit message that friendships matter so much.
Aw thank you! That means a ton. I’m glad you enjoyed it, and congrats on conquering all of the deadlines!
That’s a great point about the card selection feature, and there are a lot of ways that should have been adjusted to guarantee a good user experience. Off the top of my head, one easy fix could have been, displaying in the box something like: “Currently Selected: blah”. That would have been an easy, no-overhead fix.
I would have personally made it where you can only
confirmif you’ve selected a card and added adiscardbutton to move forward if you want to skip the upgrade. The game is so perfectly fine the way it is that this is the only comment that comes to mind. LOLs
Fair enough!
Fits the theme really well! I didn't find any bugs either!
Thanks for playing!
I want to add it's pretty impressive to make up a whole deck builder from scratch, so great work!
Thanks! I got a chance to try out your deck builder yesterday but didn’t have time to write a comment yet, good work to you as well! I wonder if a deck builder was the right path, or if all genres of games are just gonna be this much work, lol
Haha, yeah game dev is a lot of work!
Ah come on. I've gotten so into this game, that I was literally disappointed when the end game screen poped out of nowhere, saying that I finished the game!
Really well thought game, I enjoyed it very much!
I know right! I could have made it more clear to players when they reached the final deadline. Glad you had fun though!
Just discovered this runs fine on my phone, it's all over for me. Very well-made and thoughtfully balanced game, with many different viable strategies/builds. I've had a run where I became the master of infinite time and finished by turn 26, but also a run where I was constantly at stress level 10 and barely scraped by on turn 49 through the power of friendship and new days. Amazing work!
Ah, thank you! I'm really glad people are finding different paths to a win.
I was having issues running the game on phone, usually it crashes after 5-10 minutes, unfortunately. I'm not sure if it's the way I exported it or if that's an issue with all Godot games on web player, or itch.io in general.
Amazing work! You do a wonderful job of balancing the feeling of stress and need to reach a goal with a cozy aesthetic that makes me feel proud to succeed. The art and sound are a perfect match for the game. The gameplay is quite fun! Its quite impressive to make this in just a month! It reminds me a bit of Potionomics, I recommend checking that game out if you haven't seen it before.
Thank you! I haven't heard of that game, but I'll check it out! I'm a big fan of Slay the Spire so that's where a lot of the influence for this game came from.
This is such a great, quick and entertaining game! Deck builder games are right up my ally. I love the music and art to top it off! Definitely going to have to do more runs of this.
❤️
Oh man, I'm gonna sink some more time into this later. It's really something!
It was easy enough to pick up. I feel like it took a few hands to figure out how everything worked together (I kinda skipped over the tutorial a little cuz I'm a bit unfocussed atm), but it became pretty intuitive once I started playing.
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you like it.
The tutorial thing - that's not 100% your fault. A more interactive tutorial would have been a lot better but I ran out of time and made the slideshow as compromise.
Nah honestly I feel like tutorials are hard to make in general. I wouldn't really expect it from a game jam game, and the fact that it was playable without it is still a huge achievement. This is definitely one of my favorite entries.
Ugh, day 50. This was really great. Perfect for the prompt, nice relaxing vibes, cute art direction. Great work!
Thank you! I'll pass along the art direction praise to my sister ❤️
I love the art and music, it's very cute! And the game really captures the feeling of competing priorities and trying to manage day by day, it's really well done :)
Thanks so much! I'm glad it hit the mark there.
Very addicitve! very fun, simple concept and simple game.
For a month long jam very polished, but would like more (visuals like calendar or character representation, etc.)
completed the game in 49days.
Thank you! Yeah a calendar system was in thought about at the beginning but quickly designated "out of scope" because I wanted to make the card mechanics themselves as good as I could in the amount of time. I think that a calendar would be awesome though, and would bring more life to the game, certainly.
Very fun! A good mix of relaxation and difficulty. I made it to Day 40 on my first try, but I'll be going back again! It also ties into the theme very nicely. I wish we got a little backstory on the MC. Also, the categories of cards were a little unclear (I thought wisdom was blue for the longest time...) so I wished there was a little popup to re-visit the info in the tutorial. Also, friendship card is a scam >:c I thought it'd reduce the cost of all copies.... little did I know...
Overall pretty much a 5/5 for me! Smooth gameplay, good art, adheres to theme, and fun! Now, to go back to beat Day 50...
Edit: Yay I beat :D (I do wonder what more resolution cards there are... there should be an endless mode hmm)
I'm glad you liked it and congrats on finishing the last deadline!
I agree with much of your critiques. If I had more time I would do a better job of providing clarity to the user on things such as project progression and what colors the categories go along with. Thinking back now, I could have easily included that right on the projects themselves... oops.
I think an endless mode could be fun, but I decided against it for this project in its current state because I think that with more time, I could build a deeper game with more strategy. I think once people reach day 50, they could just blow through anytime else. But yeah, endless mode would be great and it's how this kind of game should go, unless you carry your cards into another level.
