Description
Tune for acoustic guitar for the Weekly Note Composing Jam #36. I did not have much time this week so I quickly recorded something on guitar. The theme was stargazing. I wanted it to sound calm, hopeful and very slightly melancholic like one might feel when sitting down in the grass and observing the beauty of a clear night sky. Audio: Recorded using my super cheap thriftstore guitar (microphone used: SM57).

Very beautiful, warm and clean! The trumpets felt a bit unwelcome to me, but the rest was very calming, awesome work :)
Thank you for your kind words :)
I have similar feelings on how the horn part turned out. It was done really quick due to time constraints and I should have probably reworked it.
Beautiful guitar melody and counterpoint. Felt the dynamics on the horn at the end could've been shaped a bit more... on the whole notes it feels like it should crescendo to the halfway mark and then decrescendo IMO. Well mixed, peaceful tune that fits the theme well.
Thank you for your feedback and the kind words :)
Regarding the horn I agree. I think this was a first take thing because I was short on time and I wanted to do something extra since the last part is really similar to the first part. In hindsight I should have redone it or done something different.
This is so beautiful <3 , it really reminds me of the game Outer Wilds
I really like the OST of Outer Wilds so it is nice to hear that this reminds you of it. Thank you 😊
