Yay! The Elephant is ready to travel. Very good mechanics! Theme Integration is on point. Thanks to comments for the last part. Very good game!
Love the puzzles! I like how it takes the theme and makes you FEEL like these tasks are a huge boss battle!
I enjoyed playing this! Beating bosses in ways beside combat can be super fun, and I think you guys did a great job with that. I saw someone else mentioned it but I agree that panning the camera up when entering a room or modifying the bounds so you could see more ahead of you would be a great addition! Also maybe adding a little tooltip for interactables to prompt the user to press "E" could make it a bit more clear of what to do on the last level. Overall really cool!
You've done an amazing job with the game, especially in such a short amount of time! The other comments are right, it really does feel pretty polished.
I have a small piece of feedback that I hope you will find useful! It's not major, just small things I noticed. I think it would be helpful if the camera moved up to the relevant area when you were entering a new zone, so that you can see where you're going and so you can see and anticipate enemies. Similarly, since the runes in the first boss room were on the far northern wall, it actually took me quite a bit to figure out what you were supposed to do, and I was going off entirely from the sounds the buttons made, thinking that was the only indication.
I really like how it had an element of genuine challenge to it and took a few tries to understand and beat.
Really cool game and a very polished experience! Congrats! The most fun game I've played so far out of about 30 games.
Whoooooo i fixed the car! Took a few tries :D
I quite like how you integrated the theme here
probably the most polished game i've seen in the jam so far, well done! Really nice music and the controls are veryy smooth
That was soooo coool! 5 stars! I only wish it was a little longer, but I could easily see this becoming a full game where each level is a metaphor for something the main character is dealing with in their real life. I liked the ending. The realization of what's going on at the end made me laugh.
thank you so much ❤q(≧▽≦q)
One of my favorite games of the jam. Fun to play with great music, smooth controls, cool animations, and enjoyable puzzles. I think the boss could be a bit tougher and have more varied states and some of the mechanics like the shield and interact felt unnecessary
Thanks. ❤️❤️❤️We will taking acount in future videogames
My favorite game I’ve played in this jam so far! I think the theme is well respected, the animations are great, the controls are nice, and I can see a lot of work went into it. It’s short, but a nice jam game. I just expected a slightly more challenging boss, since it only attacks in one direction repeatedly.
Thanks for your coment!!. We will taking acount!!!
dodge roolling and pace paced puzzles, very nice
Thank you? Lol
typo!
Haha! My favorite gameplay so far. Enjoyable and well made. Good music and good controls. My only gripe is that I don't understand how to best navigate the small enemies even though I was able to beat the game and enjoy it. Not sure if the shield and 'e' for interact were needed. It would be enough to simply touch things in this more action oriented game perhaps. Overall love the feel.
Thank you for the feedback 🙏🏼tip: the shield works better for the hall, you have to wait for the hit. I always think that having lots of options to solve something is better than a few, but you're right, you can beat it without them if you're skilled enough
I agree it is a matter of taste but because it is a small game jam game and you don't get a chance to experiment and learn when a power is useful, I felt simplicity would have worked better but it was clearly one of the top games I played. You should be super proud of your game.
I am rooting for it to win an award.
