very fun and so many minigames, Well done!!

This was amazing! The different art styles, the unique blend of mini games/tasks and how the main theme of excitement fits across it all.

Especially like the first stage with the low poly designs.

Super creative, well executed and well thought out.

5/5

Congrats to everyone that contributed to this game!

Thanks a ton! We wanted each stage to have its own feel while still tying into the main excitement theme, so it means a lot that it came through. The low poly stage was a fun experiment; I'm really glad you liked it!

Without a doubt the funniest game that I've played in this jam. It's also amazing how many different games and art styles you were able to cram into this package. I loved the chaotic nature of this game. Well done!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words. We're glad the chaotic nature came through to the players. We intended the chaos and the different games/art styles to reflect Morgan's wild mind.

Before I go deeper, I love the body language of the character when they get bored! It is so well made.

The story is well made and wholesome.

The gameplay works with the story but it also is simply working gameplay which is hard to do with so many different mini-games and ideas.

Great work people!

Thank you!

I really enjoyed your creative approach to the prompt!  I liked how Morgan was creative in his approach to problem-solving, but then needed to handle repercussions from mom (so realistic)!  It's a good reminder to parents that kids are exploring and engaging with the world, and shouldn't be punished for thinking outside of the box.  It takes clever game mechanics to make a "mundane" chore like raking leaves so engaging!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah we tried to focus on some relatability with our characters in that he goes through the 'canon events' of life. Making sure that these events were fun was a pretty nice challenge and took quite a bit of time on the drawing board.

Very creative game, well done! Had a lot of content and a lot of charm and little sweet moments. Really great, this is a 5 star for me :)

Developer

Thank you for the kind words, means a lot to us as it's our very first game, very glad you enjoyed it!

Really cool, game. I found the last section very funny, as a dyslexic with atrocious fast typing skills The email was nearly impossible for me.
But I really enjoyed it and found each of the mini games very engaging, I really like that teleport ability to line of sight in the minigame; it was done well.

Live footage of me trying to type the email

Developer

Haha that’s amazing, that clip made my day. 😂 Thanks so much for playing and surviving the email round! The Stage 2 platformer was also one of our favourites, glad you enjoyed it too!

Really fun and creative game with original idea and cool minigames, definitely one of the most enjoyable entries I’ve tried even with a couple small bugs like the others mentioned

Developer

Thanks a lot! We wanted to mix things up a bit with the minigames, so it’s awesome to hear you found them fun. Appreciate you checking it out.

Wow, y'all got a lot done for 1 month, very impressive!

Developer

Thanks, we had a great team!

Aww  your game had so many little charming moments! I liked when Morgan slumps his shoulders all sad in level 1 when you go below a certain excitement level. I wasn't expecting that and it gave me a good laugh. I also found it funny you could collect the leaves by hand and get demotivated. Also was surprisingly fun to drive the little car around and collect the leaves. Level 2 portal was probably my favorite part of the game, really nice idea. Reading the email was a nice touch at the end, wasn't expecting Alex to actually be a recurring character in the story. Great job, it was a fun playthrough!

Developer

Thank you so much, that means a lot! We had a great time putting in those small details and trying to incorporate the theme with as much creativity and detail as we could, so it’s awesome to hear they stood out to you. Glad you had fun with it!

Very interesting game! So many different minigames and they are all different and exciting! Great game!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game. Glad you enjoyed it!

Pretty entertaining and nice to see this wasn't a remake like many that i've seen here. Sadly couldn't rate it as I did not enter. Very slight bug on the drag and drop level was my only concern.

Developer

Thank you for your compliments and feedback bro!

Honestly a great game and one of (if not) the best ive played so far on this jam. Quite entertaining and fun to see a game that hasn't been remade from a popular game. Well done!

Developer

Wow, that’s a huge compliment, really means a lot! Super glad you enjoyed it!

I'm stuck early in the game (stage 1, trying to find the motor). I'm not sure if I'm missing a hidden object or if there's a mechanic I missed.

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to try our game!
There are no hidden mechanics; you just have to find them around the area.
You can try to interact with the outlined objects; eventually, you will realise which one is the motor for future runs (I assume you did not recognise it as a motor)!

Submitted

I didn't realize "interact" was different than "open door" T_T

I played more, but got stuck on the e-mail typing task. I got the entire e-mail "green", but I didn't see a way to send it. Maybe another UI interaction I misunderstood?

Overall, though, I'm very impressed with the ambition of the game! The bugs did make it a bit hard for me to enjoy, but it was great to see so much content.

In the tutorial it states that E is for interact and Space was to open doors. I forgot to read that as well but very useful the Question Mark UI read you back the controls/objectives.

Submitted

Wow that was quite a scope! Congrats! :}

I like the idea with doormats to mark the doors on invisible walls ans the isometric view was a cool choice.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing our game!

We really appreciate your kind words. We were going for a retro, nostalgic feel, so we’re glad that came through!

I loved it!! It's impressive how you guys managed to fit so many minigames into one game (2d and 3d...) I didn't encounter any bugs. (did fail a lot of times, but it was easy to get back with prior knowledge). I did  try to pick up all the leaves by hand the first time :) The writing was thoughtful... and Alex aaaaa

I loved how the ending sequence was played out with the excitement bar. Glad they stayed friends through the years ;w;

A bug: The files in the third game doesn't match up with the mouse

Developer(+2)

Thank you for your feedback, glad you enjoyed our game and its writing! Seems like we may have made it more challenging than intended. After replaying our own game multiple times, we have forgotten how easy it may be for us versus how difficult it can be for others!

The third game's bug happens only during full screen, so for now, it is advised to play the game while it's windowed, at least for stage 3.
