A good tutorial, made it easy to understand the game. The game is truly felt like a job. A very addictive and fun game could play for hours. The orbit mechanics and the little animation for like/dislike food is top-notch.
This is fun, I love management sims! The biggest difficulty for me was the time.
Constructive feedback: I didn't have capacity to click all of the things the planets dropped and also figure out all of the ui and planetary sorting. Having a button where I could auto pick up all of the waste, open up a menu where time was paused for food crafting, and open up a menu where time was paused for looking at the planet's personalities would be helpful.
I loves: I love all of the thought you put into this. That the planets have different personalities is so fun! I'm curious how the food works and I like how the personalities interplay with the other components. Like how Speedy likes being in a fast solar system so you could probably pair them with Bully and gahhh my brain is EXCITE. I love this.
The music fits well and the idea is good
Here are some ideas of improvment :
- Make the camera fix and show all the planets by dezooming the game zone, I don't think it's useful to be able to move around with right click
- Reduce the hungry planet SFX pitch or volume or frequence, it was spammed while I was reading the planets type description and it was a bit annoying
- Make it clearer what kind of food you need to give to each planet, (maybe each planets could have a distinct color and food?)
Good job for the game!
Unique Idea, curious to see how you could develop it, for some reason I couldn't interact with the second lot of planets after the second star dropped them off
I like the fact that the game has a tutorial and a real sense of progression to it at the start. I think this is a really, really strong entry even if it isn't too intertwined with the theme. The art and sound design feel really cohesive and overall this feels really fleshed out. I think this is my first 5 start rating.
That being said, I would have liked more info on figuring out what to feed the planets. I eventually realized that hovering over the side bar gives a description of likes and dislikes, but I spent a good 10mins just trying to figure out what was what. I think if you were to start with like the minimum info on screen and build up to the full list of food and what not it might be a bit more user friendly. Also if you maybe have some like shortcut of food preferences when you hover over a planet.
Thank you for playing, and tank you for the kind words!
Indeed, the theme has been lost a bit over the development time, heh. As for some extra gameplay help, while in-game it's too late to add any, I've added a trailer/tutorial video to the game's page!
Very cool vibe and a creative premise, art and music are great! The window size seems really small and elements are hard to read. This makes the game more confusing. I got the planets to orbit each other and got a good rating though! After a while I ran into a repeating error in the text box, seems to be a softlock. Regardless, really impressive work!
Ey there, thank you for playing, and thank you for the good words!
Sorry for the window size - I wanted to make the default window a tad bigger than default but it turned out it also removed the fullscreen button.. Should be fixed now!
Game looks and sounds cool, great music too. Couldn't work out what to do though (might be me being stupid..!)
Could you please provide more instructions or make a video explaining the basics?
'ello - sorry for the delay, but I did eventually add a video to the game that should help!
Hi, it is one of the coolest games I’ve seen and now thanks to the video I get it better but I keep getting an error while playing:
Also, it would help if I could figure out what happens to planets if they are shy/friendly and such (like numbers). Am I supposed to know which is which? I see a general stats window.
That instructional video is top-notch.
