Puppy paradise is a soothing casual game where you can fill your screen with greenery and lovely critters. But not any critters, these are dogs wearing critter costumes! I dunno why, but I guess, the artist has an insatiable love for dogs. Nevertheless, it was a nice suprise. You got to make sure you have the right amount of every thing so the ecosystem is healthy and growing. But if it's not, no worries, because it is a casual game and your critters won't die, or at least, stay dead for long. They will linger as ghosts... So dont worry if you see plenty ghost dogs in critter costumes lingering on your screen...! (I must the first person to use this sentence) Now I am questioning the artist's design choices. Briefly, it's fun and quick game if you enjoy nature, (who doesnt)

This game is truly coozy and soothing.

The graphics [everyone is a doggo, yes!] and the music give you a sense of immersion and relax that is needed in this dire times.

There are only 2 things to account for:

  1. endgame you will encounter some lag due to the amount of objects on screen
  2. you can drop ponds outside of non-ponds area, wasting mana technically

Truly a blissful experience!

I think the game needs to explain its mechanics more, but it's very close to a 4/5.

Very cute game! Mechanics are simple and easy to understand. I think a numerical value for mana and the cost of the various creatures would be helpful, but it's also indicated by the icons greying out so it's not crucial at this time. I did notice that the wider my area of life, the less the bee doggies seemed to remember the flowers towards the edge of the meadow. I ended up with a central very concentrated area of grass, and almost nothing elsewhere. The bunny doggies were also a little funky in behavior; they'd lock onto a grass halfway across the meadow and then die before they could hop there despite passing many other suitable grass blocks :(

I appreciate the size differences between creature doggos, and the sprites and icons are well designed! Very readable. As a whole, excellent concept for an idle game to pass a little time. I played on mobile, if that impacts any in-game mechanics. (I did have trouble with placement at first, two finger tap needed but it scoots me across the map whenever I place stuff lol).

Cute and fun little game

Could explain its mechanics a bit better. I dont know what the bears want for example or what the lake is for

Graphics are just great. Everything is a doggo

The incremental progress of the game is fun. The fact that all the animals are dogs feels very creative. A little more clarity on the mechanics would be nice. Even after some experimenting, I'm still not sure what the water does or what the gray hands mean. I think a simple image with the symbols /  food chain displayed would have explained a lot. The 5x speed option killed my framerate in the late game, but that sort of thing is to be expected with that many objects, in addition to being a bit funny too. Nice soundtrack. Great job!
