I kept playing the game. I think the difficulty is is a bit high and there is nothing to guide you when you are completing a task so you don’t know for instance, where is that last missing dish that you need to wash. In the web version my mouse was constrained to move only so much so I couldn’t rotate as much as I’d like with mouse look.
That being said, the game is really good and I was curious about the stuff that was happening as I was exploring this game.
Thank you for giving my game a second chance, and offering constructive feedback. It's really helpful to know how people are experiencing my game so that I can make it more playable in the future - if I continue updating this project.
There is a second ending! The To-Do list is a sort of red-herring or carrot-on-a-stick. If you look around the environment, you might pick up clues about the character's life experience. Notice the piles of books that form when working on the laptop. Some of the book titles are hints for you to explore.
I thought it was pretty funny that the tasks just keep piling up and you can never seem to complete them. I think that was what yall were going for, please let me know if it wasn't haha. Otherwise, its so cool that yall made so many specific interactions!
It was!! I just thought it was visually hilarious to watch all these items overflow all over the screen. Plus I wanted to check the web player's performance limitations when spawning hundreds of items.
I am a bit confused but I like the ambiance and the tasks. It keeps telling me to drink water even though I just did. It feels impossible to complete the tasks. The graphics are good. The level design is great. Many things happen (don’t want to spoil). Would love a guide. lol
Thank you!! Yes, the tasks are supposed to feel endless and hopeless. My game testers were equally as confused! I posted my game play video at the end of the game description page as a walkthrough. In there you can see how I got to the first ending.
Are there multiple other endings to this psychological horror experience too? So it was meant to feel like an exaggerated, overwhelming version of real life? So clever.
I have a lot of respect for your work. The only problem is that you did too well, and it’s unclear if you’re playing the game “correctly” or heading toward an intended goal, much like in real life which can lead to frustration and quitting, again (much like in life). LOL
I don’t think that’s a negative thing. It is just a constructive feedback if the goal is to keep the player’s attention. I did give it multiple attempts (before seeing the walkthrough) and thought it was a fascinating and well designed environment. Thanks for the guide!
Thanks for checking out my game! Leave a comment if you find the secret ending.
Nice game idea. The gameplay loop was fun but a little tedious.
Thanks for playing!
