Salutations!

I'm not as good for bullet hell type of games, that would be a skill issue on my part. But I enjoyed this experience.
It was nice to see a story about compassion and friendship helping each other with their insecurities, which moved me and made me feel happy; my small heart grew three sizes today.

The character design is really beautiful, and the sprites are cute. Even though there was little dialogue, I totally understood them and their struggles. The third stage actually made me feel identified.

Also, the music was on point. It was totally a plus to hear it.

I have a few little notes:

  • After finishing a bullet hell section, it got me to the Main Menu but didn't let me press any button. Had to reset the game each time.
  • The music looped a bit off.
  • Some sounds for the attacks would be nice as warnings.

My final thoughts are that the story is heartwarming, the characters are cute, and their struggles are relatable and I loved that.

I suck at bullet hell type games. I couldn't beat a single one of the three challenges. That being said, I imagine that people who are into this genre will enjoy it. Other than that, I think the art style is great.

The shump sequences were fun :)  Just think you should add a damage flash and maybe sound effect when you get injured!

I enjoyed the moth-y character designs I saw so far! And some of the other art also stood out, like the thumbnail and the game over screen. Some of the wider-swiping bullet wave attacks felt a bit unfair/hard to dodge, but entertaining even still.

What I Liked:

  • Bullet patterns were really rhythmic and fun to look at

Notes:

  • I wish there was more auditory feedback in the game and telegraphing of incoming bullets
  • The jump into the bullet hell was a little sudden
