  • One of my favorites in the jam. The only bug I encountered is that sometimes I followed the thread bouncing even when I wasn't supposed to (for example, I was hitting one of those lights that open a door, but hitting 'G' would move me toward the lamp I shot). Besides that, this is an inventive puzzle game with clever mechanics and it teaches itself to the player well, and the narrative is integrated without being obnoxious or distracting. I hope this team keeps working on this game and makes it something bigger, because it truly could succeed as such!

Finished the game, I love it! This is a great puzzle game with unique mechanics. The art and sfx are used well and complement each other perfectly. The story and mystery also really pulled me in. I spent quite some time on the last level until I realized I had somehow forgotten about the recall power LOL. Fantastic job!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!

Yes, many levels don't need recall but its a good level to need it because its the last one :D

Thanks for the kind words!

Woah, as someone who does not play a lot of puzzle games the way yall amped up the difficulty really had me interested as I felt like each one was significantly harder than the last, some of the later stages felt daunting to open (in a good way) the systems tie well into each other and I feel the game itself nudged me to try and find some unique solutions. I also like the set up of the characters and  not understanding what's actually going on. Great game!

Thanks a lot! Glad it was enjoyable for someone who doesn't play a lot of puzzle games, we'll be working on it more after the Jam if you're interested with how we expand the puzzles and where the story leads :)

You guys have a good grasp on player psychology! The game really draws you in with intriguing characters and a mysterious circumstance. Those elements along with the well-designed puzzles had me invested to play until the end. The messages that pop up when resetting also kept my morale high so I could push through my failed attempts. Super great job designing all of that. This is one of my favorite entries to the jam for sure!

Really interesting puzzles
The first few were forgiving with lot of boxes, I felt those could be more difficult.

The later puzzles there was a lot going on, some I did not like initially but felt satisfied after finishing.

The last credits screen, I did not get to read much before it turned black.

Congrats on creating an engaging  experience!

Developer

Thanks, yeah we wanted it to not be intimidating at the start, keeping in mind to ramp it up as we go, since some people don't play puzzle games

This game is great! The mechanics are simple but well executed, and I love how it seamlessly weaves in the narrative. Love the retro style too.

The only improvement I can suggest is making the controls less awkward - since the left index finger is being used for everything besides moving, I get the controls confused quickly. That's super small though. Loved the game ❤️

Happy you loved it ❤️ ahh I see, good point, we'll keep that in mind

Noo.. the end screen faded to black too quickly, I didn't get the chance to read it.

Anyways, loved the gradual increase in difficulty! The puzzles got hard by the end, but solving them made me feel smart.

I've been playing CrossCode recently so the bouncing ball is really fun. Good job guys :D

Developer

Yeah we put that in last minute so didn't get time to test it, It was a thank you screen with our names on it too. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it, CrossCode is on my wishlist, didn't know it had a bouncing ball haha

Hey there! Really enjoyed the whole experience, from the vibe created by the pixel art and sfx to the cool puzzle mechanics - especially that last level! I wasn't able to read what was on that white last screen, just after the game ended, as it immediately disappeared, sadly. Anyway, it was a lot of fun, great job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah that is a bug, it was supposed to be end credits after that.
That aside, i am happy you enjoyed it!

Good job!

The game is easy to get into even with all the different mechanics!
Just as others pointed out some music would be cool 😀

Developer

Thanks

Cool ideas here! The pacing of the puzzles is great, and the interaction between the mechanics are thought-provoking. It felt a lot like the puzzle sections of Zelda games. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks, there's a lot we can do with the mechanics

The best puzzle game I've played so far! Could use a little bit of music or some more ambient sound. But overall nice look and feel!

Developer

That means a lot thanks! I had the music up in audacity to edit but we had so much to do I forgot about it 😅 will include it after the jam

The main character is so cute and I absolutely love the puzzles and the game mechanics especially the bouncing string ball and the recall mechanic. I played the whole game because I was so curious about the story X)
