It was fun trying to run into traps instead of avoiding them like usual :D The bombs were my favorite part. Putting shadows underneath the falling elements was a clever move, showed where they were going to show up in a clear way that also felt natural for the scene. Good job!

Good idea. But I would've liked to see more elements or impact in each dead

I’ve never found it so hard to die in a game as I did for this one :D Maybe when I play other games, I should just run towards the danger. lol! Cool game, good job!!

My high score! This game was pretty cute and fun, and I really like the hand drawn style! It kinda reminds me of the binding of isaac. Good job!

Fun game. Would be nice to see more variety in rooms but overall great job!

That was fun! I like timing of the rocks and setting myself up to be pushed to another bomb for max damage, really liked this game

Very polished, which is always fun to see in a game jam. Nicley done!

Really cool concept and execution! Really liked the simple but cool art! Could definitely see this expanded into a fuller game with mechanics that could heal the player to stop them from dying! Nice game!

I enjoyed getting crushed by a rock :))

cool concept, I enjoyed trying to get combos from the bombs exploding and almost wish there was like a counter or something for consecutive combos (within a certain time)

Keep it up!

Absolutely amazing! I loved the art, and the gameplay was incredibly fun! Chaining the bomb explosions was super satisfying, the sawblades were cool, and the falling rocks were super fun to hit! Awesome gameplay and a nice interpretation of the theme. Nice work!

Nice work, I loved the simple and cute hand drawn graphics! Rated it!

It would mean a lot if you could rate my game too! https://fernando-ferreira.itch.io/death

Funny little game. Took me 9 minutes to finish. Especially liked the bombs, if got the chaining right. Good work!

This was really fun! Once I worked out the bombs, it felt really good to chain together all the knockbacks, well done on this one!

Really enjoyed this, got quite addictive at some points. Nicely done!

I love this game a lot. Time: 8:00.33

I spent a while just avoiding everything that could hurt me LOL, then realized I was supposed to die. I think 4 of those minutes were me avoiding things and going to the next room. I love this aesthetic of game where it is sort of 2.5D. Thank you for making this!

love this idea!

Cool idea! I enjoyed getting killed by all the different traps!

Submitted

Fun! I feel like the spikes and saw blades should have come before the boulders, much easier to get killed by (invert the normal thinking about traps). Might have been nice to clearly indicate what meeting the threshold of deaths does.

Cool concept that turns things on its head. I had to fight my instinct to dodge the traps a few times. Out of curiosity, what does "leveling up" (meeting the times died threshold) do, other than opening the top door? I initially thought it'd unlock new traps for you to die to, but I got the 3rd kind of trap without leveling up twice.

Developer

Good observation, the multiple doors were meant to be different upgrades the player can pick but due to time constraints I decided to make other door open when "leveling up" instead. And I think reusing traps would be better for the situation where I couldn't make more different traps.

I really enjoyed this! Honestly could have played this so much longer, felt quite addictive. Felt so bad for my lil guy everytime he got so squashed
