Oooo, spooky 👁️
The camera angles switching around like that was disorienting for me and the character turning was a little slow so I got stuck on the geometry a bit, however it didn't take long to get the feel for it.
Otherwise I liked this! The sound design hit the nail on the head regarding atmosphere and overall vibes. It creeped me out a little! Good job :)
I really enjoyed the eerie atmosphere and retro style, really impressive for a first game.
For a first game you really nailed the aesthetic. it feels like you got the bones of a nice survival horror if you go that route. Well done!
Short, sweet and effective horror game. Nice work! The player character was a little hard to look at while in motion, but aside from that, the visuals and atmosphere were great.
Love the tank controls of the game and the overall vibe of the game is really cool! Would have loved to see more gameplay elements, but great job bon first game in the time period!
Perspective from game tester and user-experience designer.
Found a couple of places where I clipped through the wall and couldn't seem to come back. If it was possible to come back, it was too difficult to figure out due to camera not changing for me to see how to orient my character or was obscured by other objects in game.
Not sure if I finished the game, or if there was a fail state or win state, I got to a screen where it seemed to imply moving forward, but as soon as I did I was quickly shown a screen that said something about figuring out the killer would require meeting the victim and then that screen wouldn't progress or change and the Esc key would only close the game.
Last minor note is that the game title on the opening screen has the same font and color as the menu options "play" and "quit" but neither are navigable via keyboard or have any sort responsiveness such as a "on hover" color change or animation upon click.
I appreciate the feedback! I am aware that there were a few bugs in the game, but with the time constraints I was unable to fix them all. The game was relatively short and the ending was a bit rushed, but thank you for discovering these bugs!
What a great game id love it if you would check my game out aswell!!!
Thanks for the comment. I’d love to check out your game!
The vibe reminded me of Ao oni for some reason! I liked the low-res graphics too, well done :)
Oooh, really interesting and trippy! :)
Great map design! Love the ominous eyeball. For your very first video game this is a really good start!
Thanks For The Comment!
Really well done!
That was fun! The vibes are spot on. Good game!
Thanks for the comment <3
I got a big kick out of how the character moved at first~ haha! I think this could be a fun game to pick up on steam if you had more time to polish it off. Really awesome job, and I'm NEVER going to get tired of the indie horror graphical aesthetic~!
I did think the movement was funny XD. I'll most likely patch some things up and possibly upload a finished product to Steam if the people enjoy it!
