Really cool stary . I like that theres different game mechanics for fighting and walking.

Developer

Thanks! Your game was really refreshing. Super unique. The movement was insane—specifically, the transition from the player to the ball. The camera animations felt so hallucinating (in a good way).

i really liked the writing, it looks like lots of thought was put to it, the fighting gameplay was simple, would like to see special movesets. a good game overall

Thanks! Should be checking your game out later today.

Interesting game! I enjoy a good ol samurai game. Combat was odd, I think if you mentioned in the game description about clicking on him like whack-a-mole it would help :)

Thanks! Your game was pretty cool aswell.

Neat game! Though combat was a bit tricky

Developer

Thanks for playing! I played and rated your game. Level 5 was pretty tough lol. I'm guessing level 6 is not beatable.

Love ninja-themed games, so I like the direction it is going in. Not bad for a prototype! Although I was kinda clueless in the battle sequence as I wasn't sure what to press or click.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I played and rated your game aswell. Pretty fun!

I like the fighting mechanic having to block and attack at the same time was cool little clunky but a good idea.
I liked the pixel art the old man especially was really good.

Thanks for playing! The artwork is from this free sprite asset pack https://xzany.itch.io/samurai-2d-pixel-art. Yeah, in the future, I want to properly refine the gameplay. I had to rewrite the battle script three times, and only after I realised it was way too easy and didn't achieve what I had originally planned. Then I saw the time running out and decided to release it anyway, and I am now hopefully planning to fix it on a later date after the jam.  Excited to check your game out later tonight or early tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback!

I didn't really get the combat at all, but I like the story and it ran really smooth. Nice job.

Developer

Yeah, I had so many problems with this combat; there were so many glitches. I was trying to do something similar to Whac-A-Mole, and then after the stamina bar or something is full you have the ability to attack. The main issue was the timing of the block and everything. Hopefully, in the future, I manage to figure it out.

Oh that makes sense. Man now that I get the objective you were really close to it. Keep it up!
