Very cute art, Its also very good playable till the end. It would only be better to make the textbox disappear with space key or E, I had to click every time into the screen.

Thank you for playing! 😄

Perspective comes from game tester and user-experience designer.

The story is inherently compelling, I think everyone wants to believe when they die they will have a second chance or some other sort of spiritual experience. Encountered a few soft-lock inducing moments in the gameplay, it's possible to accidentally throw your key item or item needed for progression beyond the area you need it to traverse, making so you have to restart to progress. Otherwise, always impressive to me that people are able to produce working games on such a short turnaround. I recommend if you want to make platformers in the future, maybe check a Udemy course about making tile-based platformers in Game-Maker or Unity. The jump mechanic in this felt pretty floaty, and ultimately not what the game felt like it was about, which was about retrieving story items and using them as keys like a point-and-click adventure game. Thank you for suggesting I play it.

Thanks for your feedback we will keep that in mind

I like how it takes the theme very literally. The movement feels a bit slidy, but over all great game.

Developer

Thank you, our writer put a lot of thought into the story

Unable to parse Build/Phantom Recollection.framework.js.br! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header "Content-Encoding: br" present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug.

Developer

I'm sorry about that, I haven't seen this error before. We can't make any changes to the game since the submission period is over, but I appreciate the advice you've given us, thank you

Whoever did the art deserves a raise. Very charming! The storyline is great as well! It's cool to see games that don't take their plot too seriously.

This was such a cute game! Great job with the the art, story, and letting me feed bean after death~!
Hopfully we left the front door open too xD

Developer

Thank you, we appreciate your kind words. I'll make sure to try out your game as soon as I can

Nice game! Keep making games and participating in Jams! The storytelling is great and generally the gameplay is pretty smooth. Some of the interaction mechanics are a little challenging.  I got a bug from missing the rock throw where it seemed impossible to progress. But this is a solid submission! Something that has helped me out a lot in these jams is finding and collaborating with more teammates which helps the polishing stage as well as incorporating things that you aren't comfortable doing yourself. Things like dedicated artists, composers, sound designers go a long way. Not sure how big your team was, but would love to see a credits section in the game/submission page! Nice job and keep developing!

Developer(+1)

Sorry about that, if you go to the rock you should be able to pick it up again. Otherwise you could press esc to enter the pause menu and restart. Regardless, I'm grateful that you played our game. It was fun to make it and I'm glad to see you've enjoyed it. I'll check out your game as soon as I can

Such a lovely game. The art + music just gives it a really cozy endearing vibe. The game did bug for me in the supermarket with the shelves, but otherwise, it was really cool!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for your comment delayturtle. I worked on the music for the game, and I'll make sure to share your comment with the rest of the team. Sorry about the shelf jump bit, were you able to get past it?

Submitted(+1)

I didn't gewt past it afterwards, I think I got stuck in a spot I couldn't escape from... still really enjoyed this game:)

Developer(+1)

Sorry about that, if you get stuck there's a button in the pause menu to restart the level. Regardless, I'm glad that you enjoyed our game, and thank you for your kind words
