I don't seem to have anything to say that hasn't already been said lol

love the game, amazing work for just a 5 day jam, but I was a bit lost. keep making games, though! you have real potential and a dev!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for trying it out and for the review! :)

Eyy its a fine game. The sacrifice puzzle got me a lil confused, but when I realized what I had to do, i got a jimmy neutron brain blast.

nice game!

Nice reference btw :3

Developer

Haha glad you figured it out! I wanted better puzzles but they would have taken too much time!

Submitted(+1)

the environment was amazing, but a little instruction would be nice for the beginning :( but beside that once i understood it was cool!

Developer

Yeah I wish I made the instructions more clear! Probably should have at least directed to the journal

Submitted(+1)

First off, AMAZING ENVIRONMENT. I am so impressed by it for a 5 day jam, even if they are simply readily-available assets. It really set the tone.

Same as the rest, definitely need a little guidance at the beginning. Sorta got the hang of it after a while but unfortunately I couldn't finish it because I got a minor headache from motion sickness :c But all in all a solid submission, I encourage you to keep it up!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying it out! Appreciate the review

Submitted(+2)

The setting and lightning and everything here was done really well but as some other people have said, a little bit of guidance or direction to begin with wouldn't be a bad thing. This has some strong potential though!

Developer

Thank you for the review! And yeah something to consider next time I game jam!

Submitted(+1)

this was seriously impressive! The visuals are stunning, and you nailed that eerie office vibe, it’s crazy how unsettling a brightly lit space can feel.

The enemy adds a great layer of tension. its movement keeps you constantly on edge and fits the mood perfectly. I know it’s not tht polish, but for the span of the gamejam, that was pretty solid work man!

For gameplay though, always keep in mind the player doesnt know what you know. Always assume were dumb and 0 IQ (Like ME!):D specially now attention span is short, you might lose player immidietly before the game hits the good part. Little things like subtle hints or guidance can go a long way, especially in atmospheric games like this.

Overall, amazing work!super polished and immersive entry Also experiment more on shading :D might increase the atmosphere more.

Developer

Yeah I tried putting some subtle hints but it may have been too subtle! I also realize that 2nd key could be worked on to be more intuitive. Also yeah I wish I spent more time with shading and effects, I bet those would have really upped the spooky factor (along with more ambient noises). Thanks for the detailed review!

Submitted(+1)

nah you good man, we did the same mistake hahahha, i made my boss pattern so subtle it give majority of the player a hard time. we both need to keep in mind majority of the players are not aware compare to us, who played the game everyday.

Submitted(+1)

Woah! The graphics were Unreal! Also wild how a fully lit office can be that creepy. Definitely nailed the atmosphere with this!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the review! I always thought empty offices were freaky at night haha

Submitted(+1)

A neat game with a pretty good atmosphere. Well done :) Also it's kinda funny how similar are gamejam game names are lol

Developer(+1)

Oh man I gotta play yours then! Didn’t realize we had so many office day enjoyers here

Submitted(+1)

Lol yeah me either, and thanks :) My game is pretty short but I hope you like it

Submitted(+1)

Very cool game! The atmosphere is super creepy /positive

Developer

Thank you so much for the review! Glad you liked it

Submitted(+1)

I think I'm too blind to figure out where the key is XP But I love the visual of the game!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I’m sorry the keys are so small! It’s really not your fault. I kind of wish I made them glow. It should be on the pool table near one of the pockets!

Submitted(+1)

Thank you so much for telling! The game's very cool even though I'm bad at horror game

Submitted(+1)

this reminds me so much of another game (not in the jam) and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was... and now I'm wondering if I'm imagining it.

It was a little confusing at times trying to understand my goal, but not terrible. it was creepy

keep working on this one! I think you've got something going here

Developer

Thank you so much for the review! Yeah definitely can make a bunch of improvements, especially with the AI. I wanted to find a good model for them but never got the time :)

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

This was a cool experience, I'll for sure be playing it again after the jam ends!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for the review! I’m glad you enjoyed it

Submitted(+2)

genuinely creeped me out lol, my only gripe is a lack of direction given to the player? but i like the visuals and atmosphere, good job uwu

Developer(+1)

Haha thank you! And definitely needed to make that first room smaller. I tried giving more direction in the later sections, but maybe its not enough.

Submitted(+2)

Good looking game! Only critique I have is that I would have definitely benefitted from having more signposting for the player. When the time I allotted for the game ran out, I had not even found the security key, even after checking every room I could think of as a "rec room". I apologize if I missed something obvious, but it is clear to me you went above and beyond to make something that looked visually stunning, which is definitely more than I can say for my own game. Thank you for sharing your work with the world!

Developer

Very sorry about that! I definitely should have made that starting area smaller when I couldn’t implement what I wanted to do in that area

Submitted

Don't sweat it! I could see the vision from your page description and what I could play of the game before my time was up. You have nothing to feel bad about.

Submitted(+2)

I got stuck... couldn't figure out where to go after finding the three colored things. Asset placement was nice, but the music definitely needed to be placed on a loop if you're a simpleton such as myself who can't even figure out where to go.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Hah yeah I was having all sorts of issues with sounds in general, and the relics would need to go on the pilars in the altar room. I guess I didn’t think about colorblind people when I was designing this part. Thank you for the review!

Submitted(+1)

Oh no, I meant I didn't know where to go. I never got past the room with the pillars (never found any relics), I couldn't open any new areas, all the doors were locked.

Developer(+1)

Oh gotcha! Sorry I put a key on the blue pillar but I should make it more obvious. I wish it weren’t so small! I thought someone might not notice

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, I got that key... which door was it for? I tried them all.

Developer(+1)

Ah, the door right beside the altar area to the rest of the basement. It should have a bunch of glass walls next to it. Need to right click to use a key, which I guess I could have made better!

Submitted(+2)

Pretty good, not a super big fan of horror type games because of the slower pacing, but I enjoyed what I played

also I really liked that you can lean around corners

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the review! And I’m glad you still found time to try it out!

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the vibe of this game and the concept, but unfortunately I feel like I didn't enjoy the game in 100%, because it ran a little slow on my notebook.

Developer(+1)

Thats fair! thanks for the review!

Submitted(+1)

the mechanics feel right and the lighting is done very well! Great job!!!

Would love it you'd play our PSX/DreamCast style game Infinite Body Problem and share what you think with a rating!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the rating and review! :)

Submitted(+1)

Really cool! love the atmosphere

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! I tried hard to get the lighting right, but some places it didn’t like to play nicely haha
