I've wanted to check out this game for a lot of time now!!

Reminds me a lot of Limbo and Little nightmares!!

+ Huge job on the music & atmosphere !!! Congrats to everyone who's worked on this project

We would love if you checked out our game!! If you have time of course!

Developer

Thank you so much, both for playing and for your kind words! Unfortunately won't make the jam timeline, but I'll still try to play at some point!

Submitted

That's 100% fine, we would love to hear your feedback whenever you try it out <3

The dual POVs are really creative and allowed for some good use of horror. I liked the visuals, music and tension overall. The story was good and makes me want to know more (like who are we? Are we Wittan? A reporter? Some guy? What's beyond the portal? I need to know!)

Plus, this is one of the few games that lets you moonwalk away from enemies to assert your dominance over them, so that's a plus.

Developer(+1)

Ha! Thanks so much for playing and for your compliments. We intentionally left the protagonist blank so you could fill in your own details. Beyond the portal is the fifth dimension... and THE PRESENCE. We left the moonwalking in because it was a brief moment of levity in an otherwise very serious game lol.

Wow, horror games are my absolute favorite, and it’s been a while since I got genuinely scared like that! The art style really amplifies the tension, making every scare hit so much harder—definitely well done. I also loved the gameplay mechanics; they’re creative, engaging, and complement the horror perfectly. On top of that, the voice acting is incredibly polished—if that’s your own work, I’d be seriously impressed. I can’t wait to see more of this game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Both for playing and for your compliments! Voice acting was original (me), with FX by FordAudioDesign. Definitely a blast to channel your inner mad scientist :P

this was SUPER interesting!!! i love the mechanic of using our camera to see the 5th dimension beings and details of them, i thought that was super well done! the jump scares definitely got me. i loove love love the style of it and the story behind it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so very much!

Deamn, this was the best jam game I’ve played so far! Great job on this. The camera concept was so cool. Having that split control felt really unique! Obviously it was a bit clunky, but that felt intentional since it added a lot to the tension.

The art was also very clear and coherent. Looked great, played great, just a great jam game! I feel like played a prequel and now I want the whole game haha.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

So glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!

I was jumping around a little at the beginning when walking but that’s because I didn’t realize I used my mouse as well! It was a little difficult to aim the camera behind the character. Having the enemies be invisible unless looked at with the camera was really cool. I enjoyed this spooky game! Hope Dr. Steiner gets his nobel prize

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I highly doubt he will. lol Thanks for playing!

took me some time to grasp the controls but one I did omg I loved it, what a unique idea, really spooked me, good job!!!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad we spooked you ;)

oh neat, we had kind of similar goals. I love a cosmic horror story.

the movement was a little wonky, but not enough to really fault. I may have missed out on the jam theme a bit, but all in all it was pretty fun. short and sweet.

Oh sorry! We were going for maximum spookiness, so I guess in that regard we succeeded? Yeah, it was a lot of work. Packer in particular pulled an insane amount of weight on the project, but it was getting so good towards the end that we wanted to fulfill our vision. Thanks for trying, and for your kind words!

Submitted(+1)

yes you dd succeed lol

Excellent story, mechanics, art style, and voice acting. A great experience ^-^

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, and for your kind words!

Very very cool! I love the atmosphere, and the mechanic of only being able to see certain things in your camera is really unique! Really creative enemy designs, with both forcing you to look in different directions, making you have to balance looking in multiple directions.

If I was to have one critique, it'd be that the camera window in the bottom right makes it difficult to see things when you have to move in that direction. I think thats just a level design consideration to not put something important in that side of your levels.

Otherwise, very well done on a great demo!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'll be sure to check yours out soon.

Stellar. I'm so jealous I couldn't work on this haha what an awesome experience that kept growing. Seriously, everyone on the team should be proud, the mechanic was really cool and the music kicked in perfectly.

Developer

Thanks! Hopefully you'll get a similar experience soon. I'll play your game here in a bit!

Impressive the amount of content for this short gamejam. And the camera mechanic was very innovative to me. Excellent work!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for your comments! We might have pulled some late nights (and one all-nighter)... Will check yours out here in a bit!

Awesome game! I loved the atmosphere it had. The movement of the character was a bit finnicky cuz of the isometric camera and the dialogue was a bit long, but I really love the art and the textures. 100% adds to the spookiness.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

So this is a first game from this jam I decided to try and oh my god what an opener! This has to be one of my favourite entries into any game jam. First of the overall quality - the art, music, sfx, writing all on high level

The most exciting has to be this unique camera setup, I've never seen something like this. Absolutely awesome idea and so much potential for horror or puzzles, I feel like it barely scratched the surface of what could be done with this setup.

I've got to give some constructive feedback and not just praise blindly.

With this setup comes a very unique challange of pointing the player/handheld camera. I've got to say, this is a pretty hard challange in UX design. It seems that you're currently raycasting into the world and you point camera to the intersection point. This works, but with this static camera angle it's hard to point it towards the "main" camera and control it's pitch. I would maybe try instead rotate the player towards the cursors location on 2d screen and maybe control the pitch with the distance from the player. It's honestly just a hunch, it might be terrible in practice.

Developer

Thank you so much for all of the kind words (and the constructive feedback)! I'll be sure to play yours here in a bit.

Developer

Thanks! It was definitely something I wish I had more time to experiment with as I was developing it, I had to restrain myself a bit as well as I also didn't want to overwhelm the player with new mechanics. I think the camera is definitely something that'd need more experimenting with to get a much better feel from it. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

This is definitely good game, I am gonna play this again later. Only the character movement need some fixing. other than that the idea of exploring abandoned facility is very catchy.

Developer

Thanks! I'll check yours out here soon.

Submitted(+2)

Impressive visuals indeed, the game is very good looking, voices and audios are also nice. The camera mechanic is also creative, but it feels weird to control and having multiple view angles at the same time. I find it difficult to play with mechanic like that at one point, but there isn't much like that at least.

Developer

Thanks! I'll check yours out here in a bit.
