Wow, very dark and atmospheric! Cool that there are different endings!
thanks for giving it a go!
I wanted to make sure there was enough content for replay value, so I figured I had to include 4 endings at the very least. I could have done more but I didn't want to push out of scope for the jam!
Really good atmosphere with a very eerie and anxious tone. Kept me on edge the whole time. Good job!
thanks for playing! It's a really personal story
I can't sleep without a fan either.
Great job by the way, nice atmosphere atmosphere and good replayability.
Please rate out game if possible <3
That fan is essential! Year round lol
I'm not normally a fan of visual novel / narrative games, but I'm so glad I took the time to experience this. The sound and visual design was hauntingly perfect for this, and kept me wanting to find out what would happen next, or if I went down a different path. Such a great atmospheric story that captivated me the whole way through.
And thank you for sharing the story and inspiration behind the game. It was an incredible way to show your emotions and experiences. I hope creating and sharing this brought you some measure of peace. Thank you for making this!
Thanks for giving it a chance! I was a little worried VNs would get overlooked but I've had several people say something similar!
It was cathartic for sure!
This was fantastic, I honestly didn't expect to play for as long as I did and get all the endings but I just had to. Cosmic horror is just one of those things that I love because it requires you to think, things are left to the audience to fill in the gaps and, most of the time, it's not the unknown that is the scariest thing, it's what we, the audience, use to fill in those gaps. This probably has been my favorite submission that I have played so far, nothing else as kept me as emerssed as this has, great job.
And Morrigan, I know you've probably heard this from a lot of people at this point and nothing I could say will have zero impact on your situation, but I am so sorry to hear about what happened. If anything, you are the one making an impact because I didn't know about how bad Helene was until now, it was probably on the news and I completely overlooked it because of whatever crap was happening in my life. The point is, the fact that your game made me aware and care about this of just how important it was that you made this game. Don't be ashamed that you made it.
Good Luck
Aww, thank you for the kind message!
This was certainly a passion project for me, I had to take breaks in the writing to cry for a moment sometimes because everything was still so raw, but it was really cathartic to work through. I really appreciate you playing and I'm thrilled it hooked you to finish the whole game! Having all the endings was really fun to make, and they all tell their own story in a way so having them all gives you the whole picture I think.
I'm stoked that it's your favorite! A few people have said that and I'm just blown away at the response I've gotten for this!
Very good atmosphere, great job!
thanks for giving it a go!
Really phenomenal. Writing was stellar (and I'm glad it was helpful for you), images and UI were very effective as well. The sound design was serviceable, but boy, with some custom assets in there this could really be taken to the next level. Fantastic. Congratulations!
yeah I was running this all solo and didn't want to push myself over the deadline so I made do with what I could. The writing was intended to be the main focus.
I did customize most of the sound effects to spook them up, but I'm still learning how to make them play how I want them in the engine I used.
I appreciate you taking the time to check it out!
I really like the visuals and the story. well done! Would appreciate if you could also try our Infinite body Problem and leave us a rating back!
The visuals were very cool, and the writing was great. The atmosphere was so unsettling!
I was aiming for unsettling, so glad I hit the mark!
Thanks for playing!
Simple but well written, and has some solid sound design. My curiosity was my undoing in the end.
That'll happen! lol
Thanks for giving it a go!
The way this was written was absolutely phenomenal and I have such huge respect for you putting your heart, emotions, and trauma into something we can all share. You should be really proud! ❤️❤️
Thank you for giving it a go!
I was really nervous about it, but the positive feedback has been incredible. Almost overwhelming.
I am actually really proud of myself and how this jam has gone, its been such a blast hanging out with devs and seeing so much creativity in one place.
Cool aesthetic, it's awesome that you were able to make a game that helped you process something from real life, that is what art is all about!!! The ambiance is very eerie and the writing is tense and dramatic but I wish there was a bit more player input in terms of gameplay as it feels more like a choose your own adventure book than a game at times. Very unique entry, keep up the good work!!
thank you for the kind words!
I kind of see visual novels as the natural evolution of choose your own adventure stories, so that tracks lol
Really eerie and full of atmosphere and it has such cool art. i really enjoyed it
this is a really awesome game!!
Really creepy narrative, I genuinely got uncomfortable a few times. The sound was really good. Good job!
thanks for giving it a shot! Glad it hit the mark I aimed for
The writing in this is so good, and the filtered photos really contribute to the spooky atmosphere. Great job!
thank you! I knew I wouldn't be able to get enough drawn so I figured that was the next best option, and I tried to make sure they were all cohesive in design
Great atmosphere and feeling. I’m not a huge fan of visual novels but like what you did here. Wonderful take on the theme. Good job!
Thanks for giving it a chance!
Wow. I actually had to stop playing because it really triggered my own trauma haha. Very well done, I'm not usually that easily unsettled. You did something special here, and I admire how you managed to channel your own experience and emotions into the game <3
Oh wow, sorry for the trigger, but I'm glad my goal of being unsettling came through. Thanks for the kind words and for giving it a go!
this was a really cool experience and Im glad I could be part of it !
Thanks for taking the time to try it!
