How does your game fit the theme?
The game is inspired by programming. The spellcasting system is a real interpreted programming language designed for the game. One of the symbols (shaped like a figure 8) allows you to create repeating effects, and is the language's equivalent of a 'for loop'

this puzzle took me way too long bruhhh, btw you can get stuck in an endless loop, placing  a stone that always teleports you into the fire...or similar scenario like that

also tips for dev: you may place some hints? or make a hint with the explanation....
(like something you said explained in comments with):
"Therefore, your first scroll must mean "DESTROY FIRE (CAST)" and your second scroll must mean "CREATE FIRE (CAST)"

u know something like that :3?  hehe otherwise I think its too hard
Also quality of life could be to make the scroll smaller and place ist somewhere on the side of the screen so one can see it while casting spells. (Later I got used to it because I casted them like 1000 times(had to restart when I accidentally got myself in a loop, and redo until the last puzzle) idk maybe a delete all block emergency button so u don't lose all your progress when ur in a loop, since preventing the player from doing anything "illegal" with so many different mechanics would be kind of tedious to implement from a developer's side)

but never the less very fun and cool game! :)

also I don't know if I'm actually supposed to solve the last puzzle like that haha was it intended like that (structure wise?) because I think like to get to that idea... wow maybe too hard (if it's really the intended solution idea)

I love the idea of using runes and deciphering them to make different spells, very creative!

That is stupidly good of a puzzle game! When it all clicked and i got that the symbols actually have meaning. oooouughhhhhhhhh!! Such a good revelation! And the last puzzles really make you think about the kind of machine you want to make, to solve the puzzle. It is super satisfying to get right and to tinker around with the runes. Really, really good job

As someone who enjoys linguistic and programming puzzles a lot, this game is fantastic. The level design is very well-executed, with new mechanics gradually introduced in one single connected map. The interpretive spellcasting allowed some very interesting puzzles and is quite fun to learn. The artstyle is adorable, too!

Some minor issues: Like others, I got stuck after the fourth spell. In my case, I wrongly assumed that the fire rune meant "spawn", the spawn rune meant "fire", and the remove rune should be "water" or something, and it took me a while to figure out I was wrong. I think adding a "spawn-rock" spell as hint could clear things up a little...? Also, for a game jam themed "loop", I think the loop rune was introduced a bit late; I hope there could be some more puzzles that use loops, it's a very fun mechanic!

But that's basically all the issues I've got. Overall it's still a wonderful game, one of my favorite in the game jam, job well done!
