Very cool game! I struggled with putting in the correct text for a while (I am very profoundly stupid lol), but I was able to read your comment and figure out what I was supposed to type in. I am in love with the concept of a person from the real world delving into a mystic world of fantasy and horror, and this game captures that beautifully. The music and aesthetic somewhat reminds me of Fatum Betula, which is one of my favorite psychological horror indie games. I am so very honored that someone who worked on this game had played and commented on mine!
Awesome game! I have not played a text based game this entire jam so it was a welcome breath of fresh air. I somehow managed to soft-lock myself at the sink and then ran out of the time I had allotted for this game, so I did not get the full experience of how the theme was implemented. Your team should be proud of what they made, though, this was a fantastic experience. Thank you for sharing your game with the world!
Like the atmosphere, sound design and art, found it confusing to navigate but I'm not used to text based adventure games like this, the only one I've seen this jam. I could have done with some more hints about how to do things, maybe after 3 failures to do anything it hints to you what option to type? What I was able to see was cool and interesting, very unsettling.
Excellent art style and writing ^-^
Can't wait to play again with the battle system in place!
my antivirus won't let me play it :( It looks really good though!
oh no, did it say like "Windows protected your PC" when you try to open it? if so I believe there's a "show more" button (or worded similarly) and when you click it you can choose "run anyway"
By the way, your game is incredible!
No it instantly quarantined it without any options to override - if you know of another way around it lmk and thank you!
Huh how strange, the only thing I can think of is moving the folder to your desktop (if you were trying to open it out of downloads) and trying to open it there, or open as administrator? Otherwise, on the next build I'll check the signing information, due to time this build was pretty rushed
I'll try that and let you know
Feels like ‘No, I'm Not a Human,’ and I love it. Hope this one becomes a top game!
our artist was inspired by that game! thank you!
this was SO interesting!! i loved this a lot, it was right up my alley!! a little confusing to move from place to place, but i got the hang of it eventually. i loved what you did with it and i am so excited to see what you guys produce next!
Thanks so much for taking the time! And yep, we're definitely planning on releasing a patch later on that makes the whole text adventure mechanic more intuitive.
This is trippy! Really dark and really would love to see the fights happen, even if they're just basic like Click enemy to subtract HP mechanics. Absolutely digging the art style, and the moody, atmospheric sound. Has a chance to be somewhere in between Ultima Underworld and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. Really awesome!
Definitely look forward to a patch that includes working battles! I had not heard of Ultima Underworld until now but that's an awesome comparison, definitely adjacent to the vision we had. And there's for sure a bit of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream in there too. Thanks for playing!
Really really liked the writing! The overall atmosphere with the art style and music was awesome too! I'd love to play a more complete version if you guys decide to make one!
Visuals were pretty trippy. Has its own unique charm to it. Storyline is pretty good too!
Good job on this one, I love how you twisted your photos to make it pixelised/gloomy ! The bad trip feeling is there.
I feel curious about the fight mechanic you were planning on, would love to try it out if ever you add it to your game !
Thank You!! Yeah, we were having a lot of issues in development since it was all of our first times working with Unity, but we plan on finishing the project after the Jam!
the style and the art so good, i would definitely play a full version of this, i love it
Thank you!! We do plan on continuing the project afterwards!!
I liked the game, very nice story telling. If you like role playing, I would try this out. Nice visuals, amazing art!
Not much interacting with the mechanics besides typing.
