Interesting take on this game - if anything I feel like its far too often that the fish spawn and I am still on cooldown with an arm making it impossible to even have a chance for them -that being said I don't think there is a failure condition to this game?
I think with a bit more visual story telling (rather then typing it up in the description) would really go a long way here also, and some SFX to sell the story a bit more
Keep it up :)

A simple but really interesting little project — beautiful art and a cool (and tragic) premise. Congrats on the game!
If you have a moment, I’d love if you could check out mine too! Play it here: https://kaijota.itch.io/graverun

Oh, this is beautiful! I've always found the grim fate of the octopus mother so, so tragic, it's quite special to see it depicted in a game. The animation for the arms were really impressive, amazing work on that. I'll want to come back to this to see how it develops. Well done, everyone!
I loved the octopus animation and how you interpreted the theme. The game itself is a bit rough around the edges, but I'm sure it will clean up nicely after you finish it!
One thing is that I think all of the arms have different point at which they deter fish? and the one on the top left has it really early compared to the rest. I might be wrong though.
Good luck with the project!
