Thank you so much to everyone who played our game! This has been such a fun first game jam, and we really appreciate all your kind words and your feedback. It's been such a wonderful experience hearing thoughts and suggestions from other developers who've played our game.
I loved your game ! It was so charming and I hope to see more from you!!!
the art is peak. I would eat the pigs
Really well done, love the art!
The game is really cute at first(toneshift towards the end) but I had to play it in a small window. The sound effects were a mix of funny and satisfying.
Wow I didn't really understand what the game was about but then I seen the symbolism when you captured the stranger and asked him how does it feel to be at the mercy of your captor. The game has a good message portrayed in a short bitter story with good, unique art and nice sounds.
Thank you so much for playing! Sorry about the window size, we've been having some trouble adjusting the viewport. So glad you had a good time though!
nice game! simple art, narrative is great with all the mystery and intrigue, and the ending is foreshadowed just enough to make it feel satisfying. Just a short and interesting ride that leaves you feeling smug
I enjoyed playing!
Thank you so much for playing! Really glad you enjoyed it
Nice game! I love the sipping coffee haha. Unfortuantely I’m having a bit of a problem with the scaling of the game, other than that great work!
I just pushed an update through, so it should be ready for you to give it another shot. I'd love to know what you think!
Hi again ! Upon second attempt I got the game going ! Huzzah
I love the simplistic outline style of the game altogether and am a huge point and click adventure lover!
I feel that after the sheriff cutscene you should defo start off the game with something like "now that that's over with let me go work on my chores." then guide the player to the fridge (I accidentally went to the pig pen before the fridge so I got stuck for a while)
another thing I believe would improve the gameplay is to prevent the player from stopping critical story moments (I accidentally stopped pouring coffee, might have prevented the sty scene from proceeding because I could put down my cuppa joe) etc. :)
Otherwise, story: brilliant XD When I saw how the theme was implemented I must admit I laughed at how corny it was (in a positive way ofc ! I was like HA he said the thing!)
Art: as I said, love the simplicity of it. very clear environment and I like the dark blue/white scheme :3 really makes it stand out (p.s. IS THAT WADDLES?????)
I thoroughly enjoyed myself though once I reached the end :) thank you for sending over your patched vers <3
So glad you liked the game! Thank you for the feedback, its good to know players could use more direction after the opening scene. And yes that pig was based on Waddles 😂
very creative, i hope it gets updated in the future id love to play a full version. rated, I'd really appreciate if you would rate/peek at my game if you have time :) /jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3928723?after=40#post-14418594
Loved the game concept, very cozy! Unfortunately I wasnt able to exit the pig pen so i couldnt see if there was a lot of connection to the jam theme. Loved the simple style as well! Would suggest adding in-game screenshots to your itch game page as well so people can know what to expect!
Thanks for the feedback! How to exit the pigpen was a bit of a sticking point, since I didn't want people to leave before they'd triggered a story event. To do that, you have to click on the trough. Since you've played, do you have any thoughts on how we can make that more obvious, to keep others from getting stuck in the future?
tutorialization is always a crucial aspect, but dw, most jam games, even our own (lol) tend to lack in that. You could help the player by adding an “objective” tab or a hint section in the pause menu!
Great, I'll look into that. Thank you again!
What a cute game, however the game popped open very small so I could barely read the text. But I love the creativity of it. :)
If you want you can also check out my game, I would appreciate it. :)
