Love the art work of the game and the story line. If you are planning to polish the game, I would definitely love to play it again. One place where I was stuck was what was to be done at the end of the game when the girl and boy both press the piano keys?

Here's how I played the game:

Developer

Thanks for playing Somewhere!

We are planning to extend this game into an hour long experience. Moreover, it was supposed to end like that, giving the players something to ponder upon. We think you'll understand the story once you play the full game.

great artstyle and great vibes!!
the minimal bgm just adds to the exp imo...

only thing that could is maybe the hitboxes as sometimes i knew what object to interact with but was unable to find where to actually put the cursor
great game!!

Developer

We couldn't really test the game bcz of time constraint.

Thanks for playing!

loved the presentation but for some reason i cant get pass through the third panel may be some issues with my screen resolution

Developer

Where exactly are you stuck? Did you try playing in fullscreen? Windows or Mac?

Submitted

i played in full screen and was playing the web build on a windows pc (chrome is this helps) on a monitor of 1920x1200p resolution

Developer

Okay. Where exactly did you get stuck?

Submitted

on the first screen on the third panel after i open the door, i am unable to find anything to click on

Developer

Oh, you need to drag the box in front of the fan.

Submitted

no i just replayed it turn out yes i need to place the box in front of the fan but due to some issues the cursor was not converting to the hand but clicking on the door again worked for me

Developer

Awesome!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game!

You mean comic book vibe?

Submitted

Love the artstyle & setting. Hitboxes are hard to find though! Can imagine a full-game with more world building

Developer

Yep, we are thinking about expanding it.

If you've played games like Little Nightmares and Inside, where environmental story-telling is a key feature, you'd have noticed some in our game as well. In case you didn't, we recommend going through it again.

If you come up with a theory, do share with us! Thanks for playing!

Submitted

oh yes! Inside is one of my all time favs. The computer heads reminded me of that. I felt you could explore more the connection of music and the world, just throwing ideas here: maybe explore the direction of isolation, music & longing for some purpose.

The music bit can be explored more for eg: like Max running towards the song in the Stranger things se4 - music helping bringing her out of a deep stage of apathy. I believe Musical angle can be a great usp for your idea & the computer heads too symbolizing some disconnect from reality

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the suggestions. The original story of Somewhere does have a musical angle, both in terms of story-telling and mechanics.

Wish we could have added more during these three days. There are some shots in menu/gallery from the original 2.5D puzzle platformer.

Loved your artstyle and story <3. Am not really sure how this games follows the theme but I liked it.

Developer

We've reimagined and remixed different genres and remade the game in a completely new style. It's all there in the description.

Glad you liked it!

Submitted

by remade the game do you mean you already made the game before and remade it again?

Developer

It was a 2.5D puzzle platformer we made a couple years back. We reimagined how it would look like if it were inside a comic book.

This is by far the best one I have played.

Developer

Thank you so much!

"Help Molly do Rolly Polly" is the best thing I've heard today. LOL!
