Really enjoying this one! The gameplay of having to look each window while doing the tasks is really stressful! Black outs increase the tension even more, really scary when everything is dark, but the "visitor" is still around the cabin. Great game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you :> I'm glad the tension worked out!

I liked it! My only real issues are the generator failed on me three times while I was doing the last task and also most the time when I looked at them in the window they only seemed to disappear once! Every other time I looked they would just stay there strangely... Anyway good work :)

Developer

Thank you! :> The generator was a point of issue with balancing- though in hindsight I know an easy fix to make it feel better. As for the window, the hunter goes through different "stages", and each stage requires a different amount of time to watch them (for variety :>). Thank you for the help and the play! :>

excellent sound design, I  was constantly going back to check the door every time I heard a shuffling or jingling, very spooky.

Developer

Thank you! :> I'm glad to see how effective the sounds were.

Very scary and put me on edge with the amazing use of sound. Felt like I could never let my guard down.

Developer

Thank you for playing! :> That was the goal, so I'm glad to hear it worked. It was semi-difficult figuring it all out. I'll be sure to check out your game. :>

What a great mood. IIn my first attempt, the lights shut down as I was still reading the document and I got Spooked! It’s pretty hard to decipher the sounds at the beginning and it makes the experience very unerving. The gameplay is very simple but very efficient.

Great work on the sound especially. I think you managed to communicate a lot by showing very little. Cheers!

Developer(+1)

Thank you a lot! :> I've never been good at adding sounds in previous jams, so I wanted to go all-in this time, and I'm glad it worked out! I'll be sure to check out your game as well!

Nice job! I loved the art style. I lost a couple of times, then finally beat it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! :> I'm glad you like the art.

Man, i loved your idea! Really cool to see that this was your first 3d game (I'm thinking on doing one for a while now)! It's really polished, simple and THANK GOD it does not have a jumpscare!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! :> I've fiddled around with the idea before, so it was fun to finally dive into it! I definitely recommend trying at least once, though I would learn the basics of movement and the such BEFORE a jam. :> I've never really been a fan of jump scares in horror (I understand their place in it, I just like endless tension more [might have to do with the games I grew up on]). Thank you again, and I'll be sure to check your game out :> I like your art style!

i don't get the queues or how i am supposed to avoid insta dying in the dark

Developer

A lot of the game is deciphering the various cues. In particular, what could be them at one of the windows (watch them), and what could be them at the door (lock it). The dark is where the breaker comes in: you have to find an ~8 second period of time to fix it so the lights come on. The dark shouldn't instakill you, but I will warn that when you lose, it also goes dark, so it could be that? I hope this helps :>

yeah i guess that's what happened, my issue is that some mechanics are not very clear, like i had no idea you could lock the door

Developer

If there was something I would add in a time limit extension, it definitely would have been a proper little intro + integrated tutorial. Definitely something I have to keep in mind for the future! :>
