I like the old school aesthetic and seeing the priest dude made me jump out of my seat! I think I got stuck in the cell area as the camera flashes didn’t really do anything to deter him from my path.

Sucks because I really wanted to be a baddie horror girlie and body tackle the priest :”)

Unfortunately i got soft locked when the enemy chased me back towards the cell and hes blocking the only exit. aesthetics were a strong point though. good atmosphere and i like the old fashioned, horror game quirks like the tank controls and the character speaking things out loud.

vibes and aesthetics are amazing! But enemy ai isn't going well with local controls. I can't even get scared fast enough when this guy zooms in

really solid and unsettling game, and making it so you can rotate with the mouse really helps the tank controls feel much better than they did in old survival horror games

Are yall puppet combo bro be honest this is so good!!!! I think the download size might be a little too large for some people.

The atmosphere and visuals are great! I like tank controls and feel they are well implemented :) The enemy/antagonist is quite fast, I think a bit too fast, but besides that really well put together. Ingame music/sfx controls would be nice

The atmosphere and look of the game are really good! However, the camera angles and especially the controls make the gameplay a little difficult. The character moves forward from the character's front and not the player's perspective front, which is really disorienting. Normally, I don't have a problem with that for artistic reasons; however, due to the camera angles constantly switching, it doesn't feel natural at all. The horror is great. I genuinely yelped when the vampire-looking creature jumped at you, but once in the cellar, I wasn't able to continue at all, even when following the papers on the wall. Very promising game overall! Just a couple of kinks to work out, and this can go somewhere!

Ok so the game looks great! I dislicked a bit tank controls and enemy appears pretty suddenly and without time to get the vibe of a game first, there's little build up. But overall I enjoy the whole experience :)

I like the aesthetics and the old RE charm! I couldn't quite unlock the 4 valve door unfortunately. I couldn't get far enough from the monster to turn around and use the flash but I see what you were going for and I think it's a great concept nonetheless!

About the "Windows Protected your PC" message, I believe you need to purchase a Windows code signing certificate and sign your executable for Windows to consider it trusted. For what it's worth, I've never seen anybody bother to sign a game jam game. This message has popped up for every jam entry I've downloaded, not just yours.

Hello! Good work with the game :)  The team I was in did a similar one too! I really liked the atmosphere for this but just a few critiques!

  • The enemy seems to glitch out a lot
  • His hit box is too big, and if you give him a attack anim this would give the player more time to flash him
  • Change or extend that eeire underground song... Its too short and the loop gets a bit too much eventually with it

Really good work though :)

Hey, this is actually a little bit similar to my game!

You nailed the environment and ambience! Camera from the first person view kind of reminded me of a retina scanner from Half-Life, lol.

If I had something to point out - your static cameras don't always present a good grasp on a location. I understand it's more cinematic this way, but I struggled with it for my game as well, and I opted into following the rule: always have a camera that has an exit/entrance to the room in its frustum, and activate it as player gets near said exit. Otherwise you're asking your player to blindly hug walls in hopes of stepping into corridor that they can't possibly see.

Also, I felt that character rotation with keyboard was a little bit too fast. Since this is a RE-style character controller, I would've loved to play this with a gamepad, but that option was sadly missing too.

Still, this is a great short horror game, good work on this!
