very cool
Honestly, very nice. It's great to have a clear tutorial integrated into the game, especially in a game jam.
The system works well, and when you start swinging from rock to rock and jump to jump, you honestly feel pretty cool.
It's clearly inspired by White Knuckle, but that doesn't take away from the feat of having managed to recreate a similar system in just a few days, so really gg (on the other hand, the mob sound is sooooo saturated D:
PS: (it's kind of funny, our games are really the antithesis of each other, we should have done a collab x)
Thank you! I spent way too much time on the arm mechanics lol. Should've done a little more on audio haha.
Both our games have floating hands! Makes rigging so much simpler...
Good climbing mechanic with surprising amount of depth. I liked how you could jump while gripping and then jump higher while holding with both hands. Only gameplay issues I had was swinging away from the intended path with no way back because rocks were out of reach. A few visual issues happened as well where rocks would turn white. Maybe could have had a bit more audio. Other than those few minor issues it was very fun and enjoyable. I made it to my camp!
Cool concept, but didn't pass the tutorial: jump isn't enough powerful to get next paths, and it's stange to don't have character control (WASD) to replace our body, because sometimes the move of the character will "put the player body far away" from the path. Didn't appreciate the scream of the monster either haha.
Nice! I think its a little odd to control but its an interesting game to play!
I see a climbing game and tried it, good job! It’s quite challenging, maybe even a bit too hard, but the technical effort is impressive
I like the climbing mechanic. wonky but fun.
Oh! Unfortunately, when playing with a Mac mouse, it was difficult to use both mouse buttons, but I liked the mechanics! Well done!
HTML version does not work past the tutorial. After downloading the game itself, it just seems to be heavily inspired by White Knuckle but lacking a ton of polish with potential softlocks due to lack of movement, Visuals bugging out consistently, and the sound effects being super loud. Undoubtably this was a hard game to make so credits to making it functional in the amount of allocated time with cutscenes and even if not fully polished a somewhat complicated gravity based movement system. That itself is impressive. If not for knowing white knuckle existed and having loved the game, I'm sure I could've loved this game.
What browser do you play on? On chrome I haven't gotten any issues past the tutorial
Fixed, thanks for pointing this out!
