This is soooo good! There are some parts that can be polished, but for a 1 month jam this is really well made!
The final boss though... and here I thought Silksong was hard D:

95% of the assets were made during the Jam, I reused a few from old games I made.
This was really good! As a Mega Man enjoyer, I really enjoyed the platforming and the presentation. I think the big focus on stealth was also a really interesting approach. If there's anything negative for me to point out, it's that there was a text box that opened up at one point but it was completely empty. But other than that, amazing work!
The art and animation is great and the sound effects, story, characters etc. fit very well, super well executed stuff
The gameplay honestly felt very unrefined though; collision shapes seem to be very gratuitously large(to the point to where getting hit feels quite counter-intuitive/unfair), a lot of the elements and segments of the game felt kind of time-wastey(like having to wait for the right log spawns, stealth segments being difficult/counter-intuitive to avoid and the alert enemies just kind of being a little obnoxious honestly) - I'm not sure what the tool you're using for development is and how it functions but it definitely feels like it needed a lot more tweaking/playing as you go (like running the game, trying out movements/areas, feeling how it felt for you and adjusting etc. and really tweaking things by feel)
The game does seem somewhat tough(intentionally so) but I wonder how much people are getting frustrated with the design elements of the gameplay over some of the intended challenge - it really sucks to admit I didn't really have a lot of fun with the game because it's beautiful and I wanted to enjoy it so much 🙁
A really bittersweet experience and review unfortunately; I wish this was just gushing about your excellent art or the story but what I experienced with the gameplay really stood out quite negatively
Awesome game! Love the art and color palette. The duck animation in particular is really nice. The audio is good too.
Really great game! I just wanted to give some kudos for the small movement animations for the player. From the crouch, to the spring in the jump, some nice attention to detail there!

Notes:
Thanx a lot for the feedback. I haven't had time to balance the challenges, but I plan to adjust them gradually. The paralyzing attack only serves to temporarily knock out enemies (it's pacifistic in that it doesn't deal direct damage), but the focus is actually on stealth. Thanks for the suggestions.
The presentation and polish is pretty incredible, but I was rather let down by the difficulty. The concept is executed well, and I love the artstyle and sound design, but the gameplay I found frustrating more than fun. The room for error getting around most obstacles could do with some tweaking. Making the glowing orbs smaller in key areas would go a long way. Overall though this is impressive and I wouldn’t be suprised if this ended up as one of the highest rated for the jam.
The window for success in a lot of the stealth sequences seemed too narrow imo, especially considering you get sent back to the beginning upon death. But the game looks phenomenal and feels great to play. Love the character designs as well.
The game has a cute lovely art style :) We had a similar idea/name for our project and were meant to be doing a pacifist and abilities too for our jam too but then time escaped us xD Good job for managing to get all of yours into the game in such a nice package :)
My only criticism would be some more checkpoints would be good!
