INCREDIBLE VIBES. The graphics were compelling, beautiful, immersive. The AUDIO DESIGN was incredibly immersive and made the game much more spooky to me! The writing was compelling and I also loved the way the letters were presented, scrolling across the screen. I'll admit I didn't finish the game (I know I'm playing games for a horror themed game jam, but I'm easily scared and decided to quit like a coward) but I may come back to it, because I really want to know what happens!!
Absolutely love the style and atmosphere
This is a great example of doing a lot with little going on, creating very dense and thought provoking areas and moments in simple but effective ways. Atmosphere is the strongest part, however there were a hand full of bugs and quirks that broke immersion and in a game where said atmosphere is the selling point, it makes it hard to take in and appreciate it all. However this is a game jam, so perfection isn't the goal, and I think you have a lot of very strong skills when it comes to environmental design and atmosphere on display here
I think I might have gotten stuck in a hall way, But I was intrigued to see what was next!
Really cool concept and world building. love the atmosphere. It was hard for me to figure out exactly what I was supposed to do. Also I wish I could have moved a bit faster
Awesome vibes, and I can feel the skeleton is here for a much larger and more complex game with all the physics interactions. The writing was strong, had a great sense of era, and said exactly enough. I was not able to get more than 8 diaries, maybe I missed something early, before the eyeball-filled castle.
Incredible atmosphere on display here. The sequence when you read the book genuinely made me shiver. The sound design was really the star of the show! I did run into a handful of crashes that ended my runs early, so I'm not entirely sure if I did all there was to do. I think it's really hard to to genuine horror for jams where the timeline is so limited, but you managed to pull it off! Great work.
Thanks! I really appreciate that, I spent a ton of time on the atmosphere and sound design.
Oh no about the crashes! Gotta see if I can reproduce those.
i really loved the atmosphere! the following eyes reminded me of endermen from minecraft :-)
