This was fun. I really like the retro style graphics and it brought back some memories! I also really liked that you put some verticality into the level design to keep things interesting.
A minor thing that made me restart the game on my first try was that the scene transition when i went through the first door made me think the game had crashed. May be it's shaders loading for the first time? A loading screen could help with this! I am playing in the browser in case that helps debug.
Other than that, i enjoyed this one. Good work!
Thanks for your feedback. ^^ We intended to add aloading screen, when we realized that the game sometimes stutters when new shaders are being loaded. Using the loading screen to show the player that the game is not frozen while loading the next level is a great idea too!
I quite liked this game. It was a tough little adventure with nice theming (i liked playing as the little slime fella). Though i was very confused when mulm attacked as he turned red because usually in games characters turn red when THEY are attacked though its a minor nitpick. I also like the levels and doors, it was like metroid prime.
I need to get my hands on some REAL mulm soon!
Thanks a lot for your kind reply. :D We are currently planning a post jam version, where we address issues and add some content. Your feedback is appreciated!
I've always wanted to be the slime in a game. feels good man. I really liked the level design and artstyle. cool outline on the enemies. nice!
Yes! There is this one anime with an overpowered slime, but in games they are just this weak area 1 enemy, we definitely need them in more prominent roles!
I fell into the void :(
I like the structure of the game, impressed with how you put together the different areas which all felt pretty unique. It gave the game a nice sense of exploration, I had the feeling of wanting to discover all the masks and their abilities...
I myself was trying to create a game with a similar exploration vibe, and I even wanted to do the masks = abilities thing but had limited time to do that so instead went for just polishing the basic combat more.
The cactus guy was hard to kill! I almost gave up there. After I got the balloon mask I didn't know which direction to go from that upper doorway, that's how I fell to my doom!
Great job overall, biggest critique is I didn't hear any sound or music at all, that would have added a lot.
Thanks for your detailed reply! And great job in killing the cactus! :D The double damage due to missing I-Frames makes him way too hard.
With the balloon mask abilities, you can take the shortcut to the first room and reach and enter the final door there, unfortunately that's not really communicated. When falling off, you can reset with R, but of course we should prevent falling off in the first place. xD
Agree on the music part, we lacked the time for music and sfx. However, we intend to polish the game and add audio to upload a post jam version in a while. ^^
Thanks for playing, will check out your game as well!
The physics on the slime??? So cool! Great job!
Great job! Haven't seen too many other 3D games in this jam, and it stood out!
Nice way of connecting the levels!
Loved the art style of this game and the slime creature was amazingly wobbly :)
thanks :D, Göndyr (one of our team) cooked with the wobble animations
