So sorry about the corrupted game files :( I feel like even if it was an earlier build, it hooked me. Please please please finish it and let me know when you do!
Sad to hear you lost your game files :'< Really nice aesthetics though, I think this could be really cool as a full game!
Too bad you lost your game files, this looks like it could have been a very nice game, nonetheless it was very fun to play and i liked the ceremony music!
Had a go, I am the expert mushroom master of ceremony. One issue I saw is that if you exit fullscreen and go back in while holding WASD it seems like the movement gets stuck.
this looks like it would have been very cool sorry that you lost your files :(
cool idea i like it! i think the typing and shaking text should just be normal text when selecting the cards. was a little hard to read
First off, I want to say that I'm sorry that your game's files got corrupted the day before the submission period ended. If you have time, you have a couple of days after the submission period to make any bug fixes to your game so that it is fully functional.
Now as for the game itself, I like the idea behind your game and how you have to make certain choices with your cult to make sure that everyone is happy, afraid, angry, etc.. The gameplay felt slow, though. I think it would've been better if the player's walking speed was sped up and the cutscenes were faster. Otherwise, this is a nice jam entry.
The art is very basic, but the presentation (animation and timing of cutscenes, special effects) is quite polished. The combination of cute and Lovecraftian always gets me. Great music, too.
I couldn't quite figure out what the ultimate goal was. I performed ceremonies for 3 nights but didn't really see any impact on the game world, other than changing the stats and removing villagers when sacrificed.
Also--just saying, but this village seems to have a population far too small to be conducting these kinds of sacrifices.
Yeah, I said in the description I think but the game file got corrupted so all the stuff I did was erased and this was the closest build I had to complete. So there was supposed to be 3 nights and then a cutscene but I didnt fully finish doing everything (ex. the cards were unfinished, there wasnt a ton of cult guys and the end cutscenes werent implemented. the dialogue too was supposed to change but that got erased too.)
Thanks for playing :D
Oh no! That's some bad luck.
Next time, back up to Github!
