Really enjoy playing this one while the tension builds up! I'm not used to the PS1-era camera angle, though, but still playable. Love the atmosphere and music as well.
This is quite good and runs well in the browser, the sound and music are great! I like how it uses the resident evil style camera as part of the challenge, that said the game play is a little simple which is also part of the charm (also incorporating a theme). It does do a good job at building tension as well like when all the doors start getting knocked on. I do want to point out (this is real nitpicking territory) that I notice you have linear sampling on your materials instead of nearest, and nearest gives you the chucky pixelated look I think you were looking for in a PS1 otherwise it's more like an N64 game which is fine but I don't think that was the style you were going for?
cool game, atmosphere was great
The is a cool concept! The tank controls and fixed camera was cherry on the top. I kinda wised we could run in the game and maybe the windows could have been used for some creepers. I ended up moon walking most of the time for some reason walking in reverse felt more easy :P
Excelente juego :)
I freaking LOVED the music - You're the man Jackson, wow. The game was really cool and I liked the twist of barricading, however the core mechanics are a little repetitive and the camera angles are disorienting, so it was a little frustrating at times, but it's a complete and unique experience! Good visuals, audio and ideas. Loved this.
I'm glad you liked the game and my music, thanks for playing! :) I thought your name was familiar so I looked at your page and saw you made Blood Mall, which I love so much, congrats on that! If you ever need a composer for your next horror game I'd love to help in any way I can :)
The visuals are perfect, it's technically very well done, and the music intensifying as the timer ticked down added a lot of drive. The RE camera angles and tank controls weren't annoying. I did find the house to be too large, especially the room at the end of the long hallway. Without a sprint, I found it dreadful knowing I had to walk all that way to check the door. I ended up playing both acts twice on normal difficulty because I forgot about one of the doors in act 1 and then in act 2 I couldn't locate the third set of planks in the corner of the living room. The story left something to be desired since on a perfect playthrough you'll never see anything scary. Aside from the annoyance from having to replay both acts just because the house was so large, I enjoyed this quite a bit!
moral of the story is, always keep you phone charged both in battery and in credit so you can call the cops or friends and family. Really well made little game!
Decent little fix-camera style game, wish there was more to it then just walk to each door and would been nice to be able to run.
And that’s why if I ever buy a house, it will only have one (max two!) doors. That’s for sure. Really enjoyed this game :) I think I beat it, I blocked all five doors but then nothing happened. Not sure if I had to wait for a bit longer, I waited quite a bit. Nevertheless great game! I think some footstep sfx for the player character would have been awesome.
Cool idea for a horror game, and I did love the psx style graphics (almost thought the main character was Lara Croft). Story was cool and you created a very uneasy feeling. The switch between cameras was a little jarring, maybe some lerping in between to make the transition a little smoother, especially with static cameras. Other than that, fun game, great job!
I was really hoping the "You Kept Them Out" was a fake out xD That was really well done and I thought the "Acts" were a nice tough! I think some story or more scripted stuff would of been nice but it's really well done :)
Had the pleasure of playtesting this :) The atmosphere is amazing and I love the controls, definitely makes it a lot more spooky. Def a fave of mine.
