Renpy my beloved...
Get ready for a long post, I've got a lot to say.
to begin with, It's currently in my top 5 favorite games from this jam, I loved it.

There is polish everywhere, even for things "less" important like the main menu or the credits.

One of the problems I have with a lot of amateur VNs is is that they are sometimes a little too timid with the staging of dialogues.
You get around this issue very elegantly. Between the animations and the zooms, the sprites are bouncy, the characters are lively, and it's a delight to follow.

Obviously, we're talking about a VN, so the story isn't left behind, and it works very, very well. It's well written, well thought out, and the different choices intertwine nicely. I have a lot of respect for the work that went into the subtext. In a game where you spend your time questioning others, I never really felt like I was being gratuitously bombarded with exposition. These characters know each other, they've been through things, and it's up to me to figure out what's going on. They're not going to spell it out for me, and that's normal.

On the other hand, you can tell that this is a group project in every sense of the word. I understood that the characters were inspired by your DND characters, and it shows x)
They may be a tad too colorful, and I wouldn't be surprised if the game has a couple of inside jokes.

Honestly, I'm a little jealous. I've been wanting to write a VN based on the concept of doppelgangers for a while now. I didn't expect to see it in this jam, let alone one so well done ;-;

GG, it's great, and the soundtrack is wonderful too.

Dang, this game is really really awsome! You game a super super polish game! The art is so cute! I love everyone's chara design. I liked all the art direction, the red lines for the selection, the music, the character's expression. The premise is not original, but it works really really well. I like the ending soungs. Well done, this game deserve more love!

Thank you! It was such a relief that we were able to complete it in just, like, 6 days!

The characters are all our own little guys so it's so nice to hear that you love their designs 🥺! The red lines are like a conspiracy theory board, the music was made in one night, and the expressions were so fun to figure out~

The premise was inspired a lot by other games, which is what's so fun about taking something you love and twisting it into your own thing <3

So happy to hear you enjoyed the credits theme! We worked real hard on it and it was a joy to get to make~ Thank you so, so much!

Thank you so much! The art style and story were the main focus of production~

I like the character art in this game. I always find it funny what the art loads in a mosaic in these Ren'Py games too.

It's really funny 🥹 that's what happens when you play in web, sorry bro..!

So glad you like the character art! They're all our little guys, our characters beloved, so that means a lot! Thank you!

It's a pity, I don't like visual novels.

We still appreciate you checking out our game! Though, we can't do much about the genre, since it's what we usually make.

Let's all have a fun game jam, though! Cheers!

I loved this!  The characters sound like they could totally pass off as real people, and the dialogue is really witty and fun to read.  I wasn't expecting the story to end like that at all, but looking back, the clues and premise were all there from the very start; you were just never given much reason to doubt it.   It's really well written.
PC: RR easily made its way to my personal shortlist of favorites.

We REALLY appreciate that <3 thank you so much for your kind words!

We really worked hard to make them chat like actual people instead of just characters tryna pass as some. And whether or not there is a monster, surely they'd know how to talk enough to not be found out instantly, right? So might as well try to keep things as natural as possible while giving them all some sort of... odd behaviors to set with the tone!

The timeframe for Scream Jam is a lot shorter than we're used to, and we literally just came out of another jam so we were really tried to fit as much as we could.

So so excited to hear you loved our little game- we really enjoyed working on it and are so happy to hear you enjoyed it, too!

The art of the game is fantastic. The dialogue is also very cleverly written. The character introducing himself in the mirror is very creative. Then the character himself gets weird with some of his actions like a satire of talking to himself.

Thank you so much! Tenmei is just a really odd guy, but we love our boyfailure cowboy. If they're all weirder than normal, it's probably an after-effect of them being D&D characters modernized. Glad you thought the mirror scene was creative, honestly we came up with it after realizing the player NEVER sees him in the game... so we hope that fixed it!
