Feels like the author went in with the idea of "I wanna make a map with funny puzzles and meta themes (:" and did just that. More maps need hint holes.
(Basically) no prerequisites except for lingo levels 1 and 2, though it may help to know a couple custom colors.
Googling may be required! Also maybe don't try to solve every one of them...
