Prerecording would definitely be the best quality, however I'd loose the flexibility and customisation that is possible now (like when it says your name, etc.)
However I do have something in mind that would bring the voices to a different level, but it's not my main focus yet.
By the way. Did you know you can install and change TTS voices in your browser or system to change the voice?
